Hi, I always used PT to record but are now trying to move to using RB.
However when I record vocals it is out of sync with the track and seems to be slowing down more and more?
Are there anything I am missing?
I must say that I just moved to windows 7 from XP and I cannot get my external M-audio USB working yet,gives me a very strange error. To just pay around a bit I am recording straight into my recording jack into the PC. While I am singing it sounds fine but playing back sounds horrible.
Any ideas?

Check the sample rate of both the software and the sound card. When recording consistanly lags behind and it is accumulative it is usually a mis-matched sample rate. something like the card is 48,000 and the program is 44,100.
Also the sound chip in the lappy is going to introduce latency, you need to find the proper driver for the external unit and much will get better as before.

Driver problem solved...
Just in case someone has the same problem.
I could not get my M-Audio externeal USB installed as Windows 7 kept on reporting "Side by Side configuration error" (whatever that means) when trying to install the Windows 7 driver.
Eventually I thought that like my old AWE 64 I would have to ditch it as I could not for the life of me get the updated driver installed. Two months using the RealTek internal stuff, trying to search the NET for answers...
I then found an obscure reference to the same problem on some OTHER software and taking a chance installed the Visual 2008 C++ Runtime Redistributable : voila! The driver installation program now all of a sudden co-operated and installed no problem.
I am a happy man! Card works and Realband now records in sync!!!!
