Realband 2011 build 4b everything pack
I wanted to generate some jazz guitar solos, based upon Lullaby of Birdland, to copy and learn from them. It seems they always generate in double time. Joe Pass, Barney Kessel, generic jazz guitar. I don't see any double time box in the choose midi soloist window in realband. I thought maybe realband used the band in a box settings, but double time is not selected in my band in a box. I loaded the same file in band in a box and generated the same soloists and they generated correctly. I was also generating some piano and vibes soloists in realband and had the same results, all generated in double time. ????????...Bobby

Hi Bobby,
Open the RealTracks folder and look to the top right, under the Arists Bio, for a dropdown menu "TimeBase" which is usually set at "Normal" but can be changed to say to "HalfTime" or "DoubleTime" etc.

Lyn, After entering my post, I re-read your reply and thought you may be telling me how realband handles normal and double time for MIDI. Iam at work right now, but I will look when I get home later tonight. Thank you for your reply...Bobby.....I just got home and checked, under artist bios it says options for "Realtracks", the setting is "normal".Iam talking about midi. If I don't get an answer in the forum I think I will call support over the weekend. Thanks...Bobby

RealBand does not have access to the BIAB Midi Soloists in which BIAB Window you can change the timing to double time. I would suggest using BIAB to create the solo and move the final result to RealBand

I know the work around, and band in a box certainly has an extensive list feature for customizing the midi solos. I can't understand why double time would be the default and only setting to generate a midi solo from within realband. I think I will call support tomorrow and inquire. Thanks for your help...Bobby

I figured it out! Apparently the midi soloist is tied to the style that is selected. When realband opens, the last style used appears in the styles box. I wasn't using any midi styles and just wanted to generate a midi solo against some realtracks. No matter what soloist I picked it was generating in double time. I changed the style ( even though I wasn't generating any midi backing tracks),and now the midi soloist generates in normal time. The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
