Hi there,
I have posted on the biab forum along a similar line but this is more relevant to realband.
I usually have my drivers in realband set to my fast track pro (asio) but I find that windows media player is unable to play the file when previewing a realtrack, saying it encountered an error, switching off my fast track pro fixes that problem, but then I loose the asio.
I do understand that asio can only use one program at any given time, and when I switch on the fast track then it automatically becomes the default playback device in control panel in windows 7.
Just wondering is there a way to preview the realtrack file in realband and at the same time keep it on the asio drivers?

Open up the Audio Settings stuff inside RB and locate the place for ASIO drivers, "ASIO Always On" which defaults to True.
Try UNchecking that and see if your sound device will allow releasing the ASIO Sound Drivers for use with another proggie like the WMP.
Different companies' Drivers for the aftermarket soundcards behave differently to this Setting, but by all means give that a try.

Thanks Mac for your advice. I think I have found the solution to the problem as I posted the same problem on the biab forum as well, so forgive the copy and paste from it.
When I switch on my fast track, it was automatically setting itself up as the default playback device in sound in control panel and knocking out the speakers and the windows media sound, but once the fast track is off it reverts to speakers being default. Windows media player always works perfectly when the fast track is off.
Sometime in the past I must have set the fast track as the default in sound in control panel when it was switched on which caused the problem, and it was keeping those settings once it was switched on again.
I have set the speakers as default again and the fast track seems to be keeping that setting as now whether its switched on or off.
Everything seems to be playing fine now, thanks Mac for the help.

My problem is similar, rt audition comes out of my laptop speakers, and the music is in my headphones.
Lenovo Win 10 16 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2022, Realband, Harrison Mixbus 32c version 9.1324, Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app, Komplete 49 key controller.
