Edit: here are the same drums in 8 Channel FLAC, ogg & wma just drag in Audacity
22meg 8 channel Drums.FLAC
8chDrumsFLAC.ZIP

6meg 8 channel Drums.OGG
8chDrumsOGG.ZIP

Edit: wma 160k 48khz
1.7meg 8 channel Drums.WMA
8chDrumsWMA.ZIP

Ch 1 HiHats
Ch 2 Kick
Ch 3 Overhead L
Ch 4 Overhead R
Ch 5 Room
Ch 6 Snare
Ch 7 Tom L
Ch 8 Tom R

Try this Multi Drums AC3 , drop in Audacity

Hi-Hats Kick Toms Snare
Multi Drums AC3 (right click save link, target as)
Audio: 448 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 24 Bit, 5.1, AC3 is 4.5meg
the same 44100 16bit wav file is 42meg

Notice the ending, you can't get that "yet" in RealDrums

I'm not saying to use AC3 but there might be some other way,
so you can have the normal ready mixed single track drums for those who don't want to mess around or multi track to edit how you like all in the one file.

Hi SR, I agree, real drummers often provide great ways to end songs. Maybe this is a good one for the wish list?

Yes, I did have problems too,

I right-clicked, selected copy link location

Then started IE (Q: does that make me sound desperate? A: yes)

Then pasted the link in IE.

When IE had navigated to the web site, I selected open but you could also select save, and I opened the file using VLC Media Player. I'm sure there's a better way, but that worked.

In IE Just right click Save target As or right click Open in new tab then save.
You need to download Audacity to separate channels.
In Firefox right click Save Link As.

Okay i opened it, and I see what you are getting at but now what? First off i think we agree for mixing original songs for adding to an album separate drum tracks are better to have and give us far more options in the mix. But there are so many options already available to do this why at this point would PG want to go back and re-invent the RD wheel? I ask this not to argue with you, because i get your point, but it seems there are far more pressing issues for all of us to ask for that will benefit enough people that we should focus on those.

You want multi track drums, there is the option for midi drums, and split the tracks and use a superior sample program, or have the sample program's multiple output feature be able to be mixed, or even recorded. This is one feature i did love in Reaper, you can route the output of jamstix to separate tracks, in RB you can output them to the main, but you have to use the compression and EQ in JS to mix, and that is limited so far.

RDs and the generation system is very unlikely to be completely overhauled and all the track re-recorded to separate tracks.

It also seems you are discussing two completely different issues here, multi tracks drums, and endings. RDs do endings 2 bar and 4 bar, if they are not satisfactory let's discuss that with them. I do sometimes not get real good endings with the present system, but i also might not be fully understanding how to do that yet.

One can only dream, but I love it time and time again when the impossible becomes reality, again and again and again, ya don't let the critics put you down, you know what I'm talkin about lol. Discussing more than one item at a time, multitasking !
