As an aside, it is disappointing that the video credits Sergio Mendes and not the composer, Jorge Ben Jor.

Yes, it's a good point Matt. A lot of people think Sergio Mendez was the composer, but his group mainly performed brilliant arrangements of other artists, including The Beatles and Burt Bacharach to name just a few.
The Sergio Mendez and Brazil '66 version is definitely one of my favorites. The song credit of course goes to Jorge.

Edu Lobo wrote more of the Sergio Mendes hits than perhaps anyone else. I respect the Brazil '66 performances, but when you hear the various composers on their prior albums, you realize the arrangements were already mostly formed.
I'm not trying to be difficult. This is just one of my pet peeves,when composers don't get credit. It's so much worse now that there are no liner notes, just MP3s or videos with the artist's name only. It's also the reason I don't support the humor threads here when they routinely quote authors without giving credit.

Still exists in some circles.
