At least there is no dongle, iLock etc. The above is exactly why I remained with Cakewalk for over 20 years. (I don't even know if the PACE virus is still implemented with any contemporary programs :)) As far as the 'subscription' thing....I'd guess it will be appropriate for some users and don't see it as some ugly paradigm change. But, I have been wrong in the past.  As I stated earlier I don't need to upgrade but I'd still prefer to pay up front and get it done with. Carry on....
