I am writing a backing track in BIAB that is currently ALL RTs. I need congas )probably ev16), if I can find any as the current loops in BIAB are of no real use to me. So - I'm looking for a Style (any style) that has MIDI congas in it. I'll then raise a new SGU and take them from it as a wav and mix with the existing SGU tracks in my DAW. BUT - I cant find HOW to search by Instrument. IS it even possible? All help always appreciated - and needed! Ian

Hi Ian
If you go to the StylePicker and just type in "Conga" in the Filter String (top left), it will give you a list of styles that contain Congas. There should be a mixture of be Real Tracks, MIDI and Hybrids.
You can add other filter strings, and/or use the drop-downs to select more specifics. Some of the results I got were close, and others, well, I wondered how they got there. But this might get a peg in the ground for you.
Press the green Play button at the bottom to preview each style. There are plenty of MIDI Styles available (depends on what Styles Sets you have installed). I found 100 different MIDI Styles with Conga in the search String. HTH Trev

Hi Trev Thanks for the quick reply. Interesting - I actually did this and got no results. Hence my assumption I was doing it wrong. I am on 435beta and have just gone back to 434 and now get same results as you. I will re-load 435 tonight and see if problem returns. BTW - I found a midi style that gave me what i wanted. I just updated to v-435 and ran this search after seeing your post. Before updating, search found 100 the same as the screen grab.
After the 435 update, search found 102. Results were obtained after I had refreshed the data base after the update.
If you were after some Realdrum congas, go into Realdrum Picker and filter using "perc". If you have the UltraPlusPak or better, this will give you the following list.
The only set in the above list that do not contain congas is the Soul70sPercEv16. If you scroll through the list, you'll see that some of the variations are conga only, too.
Lastly, if you want something more tailored...
Load any of the above Realdrum wavs into a DAW and, at the end of the track, you'll find individual conga sounds that you can use to create your own rhythm.
Thanks Matt, I had forgotten about User Tracks. AFAIK there is no maintained list of those available so unless one DLs them ALL ALWAYS, how could one ever know. Also, it would take up vast amounts of storage. Ian BTW - Installed 435beta and Style picker works as it should.
