I don’t know what I did, but somehow the song picker no longer lists songs in any discernible order. I’ve tried deleting SongList3.bin, deleting the preferences and even reinstalling BiaB.

Any suggestions?

The column headings are not clickable.

(On mine, at least. I don’t recall if they were clickable before this started or not. The column headers have a flatter look to them than the ones in the style picker, which are clickable.)

I suppose that is another "To Do" the column sort.
Is it in the same order as the SongList.bin ?
You can put it into an excel spreadsheet and sort them,
then type the song in the search.

I don’t have Excel, and I’ve had no luck loading it in LibreOffice in any recognizable form (just exactly what character is it using for a delimiter, anyway?). That said, it does seem to have the same order as the song picker window.

I may just take to loading files from the Finder.

You can use Find & Replace to remove the garbage characters between the names with a delimiter - or anything else.

It should be the same order as the filename > File Name

So I can confirm that the issue is a problem with having the songs folder on an APFS volume. I realized this when I noticed that the custom icons dialog in Logic Pro X was all out of order as well. I copied my songs folder over to an HFS+ volume and, sure enough, the songs appeared in the correct order.

I don’t know enough about the file systems to tell what’s gone wrong. I’ve sent feedback to Apple so maybe it’ll get fixed in an update.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
