Does anybody have any experience with Music eTrade? Are they legit?
They sent me a spam with this line in the end "We are looking for music and audio gear retailers to partner with us and sell their products on our site. We look forward to your visit." - of course, I haven't visited them, nor have I clicked the link.
I haven't even gone to musicetrade -dot- com without checking first. And I know that there are plenty of knowledgeable people on this list and if anybody has any experience with them, I'd get an honest evaluation.

Don't really know what could be not on the level. All they do is broker sales like ebay or reverb. I found the only differences with them are the percentages of transaction fees differ. I personally think reverb charges WAY too much but they also get a lot of traffic and gear sells fairly quickly.
I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

I don't respond to spam, and I've heard of Reverb before, but I haven't heard about music etrade. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a drive-by malware site or something.
After this weekend's gigs, I should go there and investigate.

Hi there,
I am one of the support staff at Music Etrade and I can definitely assure you that we are not a scam nor do we send unsolicited emails. Before we send you out an email of any sort one of our staff or in some cases a third party telemarketer would have contacted store and asked either yourself or one of your staff members for permission to send you out some information about our site.
If you do not recall speaking to one of our representatives then we would like to know about it. Sending unsolicited emails without your permission goes against the policy of our email sending provider and if one of our telemarketers has placed you in our database without your consent they will be dealt with appropriately.
We have only recently launched and only charge you 2% if and when you sell your item. We also have no other hidden fees and you can list as many products as you like on our site. We are currently building a bulk listing feature for music retailers and if you're interested in checking it out I would be more than happy to send you out some information. I hope that I have been of some help.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
