Thanks Leon! All of this feedback adds fuel to songwriting fire to motivate me. I have been trying to find a voice/style that works for me and a genre of music even.....seems like i comfortably lean towards a JJ Cale or Dylan style for vocal style.

thanks Alan! This was a fun song and video to create...originally written for acoustic and left in the drafts folder....then pulled it out to find a more upbeat sound. It is encouraging to hear that my vocals work for it well.

Fun indeed.
Your vocal tends to sibilant explosions as a result of the reverb I suspect. That's not too hard to deal with.
I thought the tone of the solo was a bit aggressive given the melody and vocal style.

Good ear....I am listening for that now and hear what you mean with the hissy part of vocal. Thinking of ways to tone down solo bits or maybe it's the distortion level perhaps.

Haha yes. I learned of this from wild parsnip which has the same chemicals in the plant juice that reacts to the sun when on skin. But have not been burned myself.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
