Long before the murder I disliked him for what he did to the Let It Be album. Thankfully a version sans his input was released. He assuredly was involved in tremendous music but upon further reflection his “wall of sound” was IMO what today would be called dense mixes.

It is sad and such a waste that his mental issues led him to such a terrible end killing that poor girl.
The fact remains, for me anyway, that he produced some of the most beautiful music I grew up listening to and loving and I still love those songs just as much today. He had a huge influence on music.
May God have mercy on his soul.

Hi all Well I will probably be in the minority here, but I must say I did not like his Wall of sound concept. Far too hot mixes seemed like all tracks whacked up to the top, producing a somewhat incoherent and often distorted loud noise, rather than a nice well balanced mix of musical instruments and vocals. My have been ok for head bangers on cheap record players , But Hi Fi it was not! Just me,  Mike
