THis is a song I wrote about 35 years ago.... I was thinking about it and decided to record it now. I am remembering the lyrics as best I can. I have it in a note book around here somewhere with some other oldies. THis is back from the days when the hook wasn't really clear in my writing. I called it Come and love me till the morning.....as well as Everything will be alright. The band: Bass 1268 Piano 1277 Drums P&W something or other. B3 my goto favorite 686 All guitars and vocals yep.... Me. I had several other instrument tracks but decided in the end.... nope. Hope you enjoy this. I haven't written out the words but I think they are easily heard and understood. Everything will be alright..... (for lack of a better title) no vocal fixing other than to get the phrasing close enough to pass muster. comments welcome. Now I'm going to go look for that notebook and see if anything else is worthy to be recorded. Challenge to the old time writers here..... grab something from your way back past and post it up for grins.

Its matured well in that notebook of yours. A great song - decent tune (it does have a nice musical hook), good choice of RTs etc and brill lyrics. Back then did we really 'make love until the morning' ? 20/20 wishful hindsight. Loved the octaving in the guitar bridge.!! Cracker!! Best Ian

Well, despite the plethora of hooks, it was an enjoyable listen - good backing, singing, and production!

Hello Guitarhacker at first I thought the vocals were too loud. But that is not true On re-listening I noticed how perfectly the background blends with the vocals This is definitely intentional and really well done Great work Many greetings Andi ;-)

A good country song. A good country band. Great vocals and guitar. You make it sound so effortless. Cheers, Mike

Thanks to all who listened and to those who commented.
Ian, that wasn't octaves in the solo. It was sixths and other such intervals... And I actually decided to finger pick them together than sweeping it like I normally do.
Capt Moto, DCuny, rayc, Andi, Mike, OM, Stefan, Ron, and J&B... thanks to you for your comments.

Yes, Herb, keep searching for that notebook, man. This is terrific. I won't mention your top-level vocal, your tastefully talented playing or your right-on mixing because they are always a constant in your songs. I'm not a fan of the 8th-note rich bass. It seems to distract from the true feel of the song, but it sure works well.
I also wrote a song entitled Everything Is Alright about 33 years ago --must've picked up the idea from your contribution to the cosmos.

The chord progression has a familiar feel to it, but that's not a bad thing. It felt like I'd pulled on my favorite (and comfortable) cowboy boots and strolled out to the porch to sip some iced tea or freshly brewed coffee while listening to a country radio station. Nothing wrong with wishful thinking either. There are plenty of great songs that rely of hyperbole or gross exaggeration -- that's often what makes them interesting. Take care.

Sounds good to me. It has an Eagles vibe to it, which makes sense for when it was written. The band was able to reach back and grab an appropriate sound to match your melody and lyrics. You sound pretty damned good too. Good one.

Herb ...
Good music never denigrates with time - it simple matures with grace. Everything is placed perfectly in the mix. That was a very enjoyavble listen. Glad you didn't let fall off into oblivion. Nice!
Take care ...

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
