Whoa Bud! Man, my hat is off to you man. Peter and Janice knocked this one right out of the park. They both did a fantastic job on this song and your production brought out the best in it. The overall song is simply captivating, everybody shined - and you let it be heard! Thanks for letting us listen!

Hahaha … no smile

Thanks Marty. Glad you liked it and thanks for the BGVs mention too!

J&B,

What a great Bluesy intro! The lead vocal by Janice immediately grabs the listeners attention and holds throughout! Love the guitar work throughout!
That rhythm bed is so solid and not overdone, it perfectly supports the vocal and guitar work! Production is super clean and easy to listen to!

Thanks, TB

Wow, what more is there to say about this song?
Slow Blues never fails to please! At least not to all of who reacted on this song.

Janice, you are always on your best in these kind of songs (and all other kind of songs too).
And especially when mean men mistreated you (in the lyrics...)
Very good!

Peter, I'm impressed by how you played the guitar! Very well done. Hats off!!!

And Bud, if you weren't in charge, this song would have ended in missery. Well in the lyrics it did, but on all other fronts you won!

Thanks a lot,
Hans

Janice, Bud & Peter,

This is absolutely outstanding. Superb vocal by Janice, great guitar lines by Peter and spectacular production.

Production wise, there is so much going on here, but it feels seamless and tight. A high-bar achievement.

Loved it!

Janice, Bud and Peter—

Trying to catch up on my listens after a break from the board . . . glad I stumbled upon this one. Not sure I can add to the accolades above . . . but wholeheartedly concur on each of them. Smoking guitar, steamy vocal and absolutely wonderful BGVs. Slick production . . . just outstanding!!

My best to you all,

We appreciate that! You mentioned all we hoped to achieve.
Glad it worked for you and that you liked the mix. For us the simpler and more sparse mixes are our best route to a decent production.

Mornin' J&B&P....

This is a very cool song.
Peters axe work is typically smooth & soulful....just like all the vox. smile
Love those subtle BGVs.
Of course, I'd echo all other comments.

Very well done!

what is the vocal chain ?

ie...mic ? plug ins ?

(its ok if if you dont want to say...understood.)

as an idea hearing the song again i would love to hear later on in the song janice singing voc doubles..

she is such a fab singer...i would LOVE to hear you all on bensons version of 'on broadway'.
a fav of mine.
I reckon you guys would slay it...seriously.
n' peter would also slay it on the leads.

health wealth n' happiness to you. kudos.

om

ps thanks for listening to my crazy new song...bout women n' rock n' roll.
janice dancing in the kitchen made my month..lol.

The vocal chain is listed in the post. Regarding doubling the vocal … although Janice can sing a near perfect doubled vocal we aren’t too big on that. We aim as much as possible for a sound close to what a small band would do live. Thanks for your interest.

Peter is always on the money, great chops.

Mix is sounding good as per usual, Bud!

Just what I needed to start off my day, thanks!

Dave, you are a great blues man and that makes your review very special. Glad it was a good start to your day and thanks for all. Oh, and Janice appreciated your mention of the BGV bits!
