Has anyone else had this problem? When I finish a song, the cursor goes to the last measure, then moves backwards and I hear one drumstick click. Loop is turned off. I have tried everything I know to get rid of it and I can't.

Also, no matter how many times I delete it, BIAB adds a measure at the end which shows the last chord. I have unchecked 2 bar ending.

Anyone have any ideas on fixing these problems? Thanks.

I export it to Audacity or run Audacity at the same time and edit it out. Is this RealDrums or Midi drums. If RealDrums make sure you have the latest updates.

Thanks for the response. These are Real Drums. I can mute the drums and it still happens. It is as if BIAB is trying to count the song off again. But Loop is turned off.

As for exporting, I will send it to RealBand and edit it.

If anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks again, John.

Did you turn off the drum lead in? I did something to eliminate that problem but forget what it was. Perhaps the metronome setting?

Try making a 4 bar song and making changes to things, it speeds up the end result.

This particular issue was the focus of quite some discussion a while ago. Originally it sounded like some buggy count-in stick sound a the end of a song, irrespectively of whether count-ins were activated or not. Then somehow the situation changed a bit as if PG Music did s.th. to this problem along with some of the patches. Now I have occasionally a faint annoying noise at the end of a song that sort of sounds similar to some electronic switch off effect. Happens with midi only songs and seemingly does depend somewhat on the DXi synth chosen. I may hear some click sound with a Forte DXi that vanishes with a VSC DXi, say.

To address your current problem make sure you're using the newest patch and try changing midi synths - see if that helps.

I often have the same problem with BiaB 2009.5 on XP. It sounds like it's trying to loop the song again, even with "Loop" off. I also use a DAW to edit it out.

Thanks to everyone. I am pretty sure the problem is in the metronome, count in (as John Conley stated). I turned off the audible count in, turned on the visible count in and it stopped the problem. Hopefully this helps a few others. I will also e-mail BIAB Tech Support and ask them to review this thread. Maybe they can fix the problem in updates.

Thanks again to all.

I still periodically get this problem using RealDrums. Which RealDrums set is it? Have you tried a different drum set? Does it happen to only one song? Also try a Return to Factory Settings.

Out of curiosity, turn on the Developer Mode in the RealDrums settings. That will generate a 'log' file of what is being generated. Once you Play the song, the log file will open and you can scroll down to the bottom to see if anything is being added to the end of the song. I suspect nothing will be found but you never know.

I think it's a midi thing related to the count in, but that's purr s-pet-ulation Rachael, ..meow.

Well in my case the sound is a single stick on stick that sure sounds like a RealDrums count-in. When it occurs again I'll post the specifics. What I remember is that it happens well after the two-bar ending is complete - sort of like an afterthought.

Wow, this is the first time I have posted or monitored a forum. You folks are great!

I will try the Developer in Real Drums and I will look at the set. But, I muted the drums and it still does it. Rachael and I have had the same experience. BIAB adds measures outside the limits I set, but they don't play. As the cursor moves to end, it bounces back to the beginning of the first measure within my limit, then clicks. The only way I got rid of it was to turn off the audible count in, so I think that is the problem.

Again, you folks are great.

FWIW I've had the same One Drum Stick at end of song happen off and on periodically as well.

There was a patch from development released at one time that was supposed to address this problem. Well, it got better, but it did not remove every instance of the darn Drum-Tap-at-End-of-Song.

At one point I was beginning to think that it may be RealDrums style related, that some styles seemed to do it more than others. But never was able to gather good data to prove that.

One thing I have noticed is that this problem doesn't seem to happen as often here immediately after doing a Return to Factory Settings in BiaB - usually done for other reasons in order to get things runing right again, but that too seems to have no pattern to it.

Now I suspect a Timing Problem - and different machines and setups may just handle it differently from others.

I think it's the song preparing to loop and then getting to the unchecked box and starting the loop and quitting. But that's postulation like shadows on an ancient cage while chained..never mind Plato.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
