First, make sure you are running the most recent version. Second, as a result of changing the folder structure, it looks like some of the internal functions needed files in a certain location and now can't find them now. I suggest sending an email to "" and reference this thread and I expect they will get it fixed pretty quickly as they have been chasing some other similar issues and have been issuing updates to address them.

Super intro Peter. Loved this tune. Super vocal, lyric and backtrack. Harmonies were excellent as well :-). Guitar was awesome. Very cool phrasing and tone..

This Behringer unit should be arriving in a week or so. I'll let everyone know how it does. I would have liked the Focusrite, but budget constraints for now. My old FastTrack Pro seems to give me more and more problems with each update on my computer (of course it's almost 10 years old and the available drivers are almost as old). That being said, when it works, the external USB FastTrack Pro plays nicely with my amp and the sound is great.

A fine production from two fine melodic players. Our only nit is that it could've gone on for a LOT longer! Sweet and a great addition to our favs playlist. Nice!

Damn cell phone auto-correct... And the thing that is aggravating is that you see it being typed correctly and then it changes as you move on to the next word, so your eyes aren't on the previous word. Let's go with "...DXi's get picked up..." instead. But as anyone who knows me will tell you, I'm always happy to provide a grin (self-deprecating or otherwise).

You would sound good on a 4-track cassette recorder. We love the flute and all the little rhythmic emphasis' throughout. Nice mix too J&B

When we first saw the title we were reminded of Dickie Betts' Blue are both very melodic players. It's very well performed, arranged and mixed. We much enjoyed it. Nice! J&B

Matt, I'm not at my computer right now, so can't check the exact effect, but you might want to look at the "Copy Project Files To..." command (found under the "File" menu. The description is "Copies all current project files to a folder or a new ZIP file. This is useful for backup up projects (i.e. to CD), reorganizing project files, or collaboration with others>" The user manual goes on to say: Quote:A project and all sounds, videos and/or recordings used wi

Peter/Leon, Terrific energy to this. Quite Knopfler-esque - the cadence of the lyric, the rhythm of the backing and (especially) the leads (love those leads!)... A very solid sound (good mix of the instruments for a cohesive sound) Really enjoyed the listen (several, actually). fj

I find Safe'n'Sound works phenomenally for insulation - it deadens a room really well to cut out any ambient noise. Unfortunately when it comes to microphones, you pay for what you get. Also depends on what you happen to be recording

"don’t nobody here really laugh anymore It’s a different kind of laugh Comes behind the closet door" Great lines out of many. We wholeheartedly agree with fj's "the backing tracks are just what they need to be. Nice mix. And your leads (very Neil Young-ish!) take it another notch higher. Very cool tone/processing - a real standout - you could make that a signature sound..." Powerfully written and performed. There's about five good emotional songs packed into this one

Hi Trevor. I didn’t say I like it, but i said I can live with it. Big difference. What I meant is that I can hear in my head how it would sound when counting it, and indeed Peter has indicated he considers it the same way. I think 123 for each 4/4 beat. I indicated I would have counted it off as 1,2 123,123,123,... Or 1,2 1e& 2e& 3e& ... Everybody is in at the next measure with the triplet 6/8 feel in their heads. I play a lot of great 6/8 tunes in concert, like Footprints b

Wow! The word is over used but we're gonna throw it out anyhow: EPIC! We have been, for lack of a better term, peripheral jazz listeners for many years. Little understanding of the technical aspects but a big appreciation of the talent and time that goes into a product like this. We also know enough about McLaughlin to get the connection that has been mentioned. We enjoyed the piece and the informative backstory. Welcome back...hope to see you here more! J&B

Yes, I skipped that solution because it uses the headphone connection. Potentially very bad. But Charlie is correct that this is the least expensive way to match the signal. It still depends on setting the headphone volume correctly for the right gain staging.

"Maybe next time we’ll see what’s beyond the bend See that fork in the road before we come to the end" Wonderful lyric and performance. And, yep, this production is stamped all over with Eagles. It seems that a lot of Eagle's softer songs were under heralded but we've always enjoyed them and this is right in the pocket. Dittos regarding ALL of the above accolades. Wonderful collab! J&B

Now we’re getting the info; thanks! Critter, FYI, you can drag multiple tracks into Mixcraft. Brian, that’s exactly the way it should be - a choice. Score one for SOP. Janice or Bud, it’s the double housekeeping work that I’m trying to avoid. There are already enough opportunities to make errors in file handling.

Great work on this, Rob! A couple others mentioned, and I have to agree - I'm definitely getting some Marty Robbins vibes here, which is definitely a good thing! I love how gentle this sounds. It is easy to sway to, and your vocal performance is absolutely on point. Thanks so much for sharing

Songwriting Feedback - "Why This Forum Matters"

Our Forum is a great resource when you're wanting to discuss Band-in-a-Box (or other PG Music Inc. programs), but it's so much more!

In addition to the different sections we have for our products (Band-in-a-Box, RealBand, PowerTracks, and Other PG Music Programs), there are also places on our Forum to share your songs, YouTube videos, ask for tech help for problems not related to our software, "off topic" discussions, and more!

Forum user David Snyder shared his thoughts on Why This Forum Matters in his recent Songwriting post, which has some great feedback, including:

It occurred to me this morning that it is the group effort that counts. That is, one kind word about another member's song, one piece of encouragement or generous suggestion, might cause that person to write the greatest song ever written, which might then go on to have a massive impact on some stranger's life, cause someone to fall in love, or turn their life around, and literally change the course of history. Because songs do that.

OR, one kind word given to YOU might cause you to write the greatest song ever written in the coming year, and that song could go on to have an impact on untold thousands. Who knows! It happens all the time.

But the point is, it is not about any one of us, it is about all of us, the group.

Read through the whole conversation (and join in!):

...and a big THANK YOU to David for sharing his thoughts!
