I read that you can start and stop a soloist using your computer keyboard but can't find what I need in biab to do it, unless you can't use it with the realtracks. There are 3 different places in a song where I want to insert a solo, so if this is can be done what am I missing? Thanks

As far as I am aware, you can only put one instance of the Soloist in BIAB when using Realtracks. You can have this as the whole song or a section of the song. With MIDI, you would be able to put the three instances of solo that you want.
Thinking laterally, what you can do is to generate a solo for the whole song and then use right-click >> Bar Settings to mute the bars in which you don't want to hear the solo. To do this, go to the bar where you want to stop the Soloist, right-click, select "Bar Settings" and "mute" for the Soloist. Now go to the bar where you want the soloist to come back in and repeat the process but, this time, choose "Back to normal". Use this procedure to bring the Soloist in and out of the music as you wish.
Realband, on the other hand, will let you put multiple solo-sections in a song. You simply select the bars in which you want a solo and then generate one in those bars.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
