I was trying to show my son how the ACW works this evening, but it wouldn't play the audio we imported. Audio would work in the tracks and chords windows when we generated real tracks, and even when we played the same imported audio that would not play in the ACW. The ACW was the only place where the audio would not play. Can anybody think of a reason why that might happen?
The audio was an MP3. We tried a couple of different songs and none of them would play in the ACW... but
When I came back home, I tried it on my computer, and it works fine here.
His same audio settings work in both BIAB and RB except for ACW.

I *think* the ACW uses the default audio output, so if you had chosen a different audio port you may not have heard it. This error would be easy to get in a system with multi-output soundcards. RB will allow routing to a secondary audio port, but the ACW uses the default (I think)..

Thanks.. I'll check into that later today. I bought 2012 for his Christmas gift, and was showing himthe features... it was awkward when ACW didn't work and I had no idea why. Now I have a track to run on...

I sent your reply to my son.. that was it! He's got it working now! Thanks
(He's already got feature shock... so much to learn he doesn't know where to begin. For now he's just loading style demos and playing along on his upright bass, with the notation streaming past. He likes that... no turning pages)

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
