Was getting very frustrated so put this song aside for about 10 days. Then run by it this morning. http://soundcloud.com/seeker1/like-that-girlFirst you folks songs have almost driven me over the edge on the listening thing. Trying to learn and in process extremely critical to bring goodies up toward you folks quality of music. Learned enough to hear distinct difference between the 320 bit mp3 and original wav. Didnt think these old ears were good enough for that. This song is a nice little slow song generated with Melodist(many tries) to get this melody. Then the Solo is Soloist generated, again several passes. Style is _CBALAD1, might have modified this one not sure. 366:Bass, Electric, Country Ev 065\ 365:Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking Ev 085 RealDrums-NashvilleEven16^5-HiHat,Ride 362:Guitar, Acoustic Strumming Ev 085] 363:Pedal Steel, Background Ev 085 Melody =SampleTankFree-HQ Free Piano mkII Solo = SampleTankFree-HQ Smooth Jazz Guitar. IN RB. Melody track VST = PG Five Band EQ Boosted mid and lo-mid a bit, cut Hi to about -8/9 db Output PG Dynamics, default, except gain set=2 Voxengo Marvel GEQ Preset Side Bass Removal pulled the 5k thru 20k down a bit. MStereoExpander Presets to Full. K-meter Levels Normal, peaks, around -8(just bit red once in awhile) rms average around -16 to -12. Wow, this is a job to to this spec-ing stuff. Really like this one Frank. Sounds like it would be a great theme song for a TV show or movie.
Regards,
Bob

Tommy,
Thanks, it also happens to be type of music I like.
Bob,
You know my name, one of the worst kept secrets. Its easy going and yes would make good theme song.
Neat thing about the Melodist using Midi for melody is its ability to do AABA generations. Not every time tho.
Again, thanks for compliments,
Frank

Nice backing. I like the progression. As Tommy said, nice mellow tune, and I also agree with Bob that this has a tv or move theme feel to it.
Nice work.

Steve,
Love your word "mellow", exactly what it was meant to be. Again the TV and/or movie aspects seems that way. Maybe that's why the PG software writers added the Soundtracks as an Icon to use.
Thanks again for you compliments,
FrankB

Thanks for "Stoppin" in to my place Tommy.
Thru the years, for some reason, mellow music is more to my taste. Many genre's but easy on the ears, heart, and mind.
These styles and Realtracks are a true blessing to us.

It's very neat how you did this...I've never worked with Melodist...I think I'm going to look into it after listening to your track..very peaceful and worth listening to.

Tano,
I more or less figured out how to edit/create my own melodist's. This opens up the door a bit more than the stock ones. Did this primarily to have more Country and also more New Age.
Working with primarily Real Styles, then using MIDI parts for melodies and solo's also helps a great deal. Trying to work more with Realtracks for Solo's also. There is tracking abilities for melody with Soloist. Wont be melody, but complimentary.
Appreciate the compliments.

Very nice mellow piece of music.
Two thumbs up!
On a side note the melodist is great way to generate musical phrases that can be used as a basis for lead melodies. I’ll take a short phrase say 8 bars or so and use that as a start for a song. There are a lot of good ideas in the melodist.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Mario,
Thanks for compliments. Thanks to PG Music we can use their tools and do this. It's going to be in my new CD release soon. Gonna throw a Release party for you all. LOL. Will probably use most of them for gifts. Seriously.
Thanks again, the music part and mixing is great sport.
Later.
