Is there better than this? Anywhere? The accuracy across complex chord changes and voicings?

This is a mix of Disney performers and music teachers at various colleges in Central Florida. They bring tears to my eyes because I realize I am listening to true talent here. Doing something I can't do anymore.

Singing.

The answer is almost certainly an emphatic NO!

What absolute brilliance.

I'll be looking out for more of this genius delivery.

And to think most of them sing at Epcot Center!!

The thing that got me was how accurate they are singing some WAY out there enhanced/embellished chords. Crazy diminished 7ths and such are hard enough to voice out much less sing those intricate intervals.

And it didn't hurt that the song I first heard them perform was Over The Rainbow. I have said for years that had Harold Arlen written ONLY that one song he would be among the greatest composers ever.

Wow!

I am currently taking an on-line ear training course. Of couse we all know SWOTR is the classroom example to recognize the the octave interval. But know I hear this is a perfect example of that and every other interval which exists.

very impressive. Proof that there are people who can sing without vocal pitch correction...live.

Yeah.... I have a hard time just singing anything more than a third or fourth in a harmony. And I gotta have melodyne on standby.

Impressive though I'm not 100% sure the sound and the video were really both live. That said I certainly have confidence that a live performance would also be very impressive.

Not really my kind of music, but that's as may be.

I always had great respect for Manhattan Transfer's version of Woody Herman's "Four Brothers".

Cheryl Bentyne? I mean, come on now. (Or for you Southerners, honey hush!) One of the times I saw them (I think, 3 in total, and not since Tim Hauser died) they did an homage piece to Ella Fitzgerald, and Cheryle did a long section of scat. Some of the intervals were an octave, and some were as high as 2 steps beyond an octave, so literally a 10th, and her pitch was perfect on every move. They have some mileage on them so I don't know how long they will still be around. Cheryl is 69 now. Janis Siegel is 71. Alan Paul is 73. Tim was 72 when he died 9 years ago. They started the year I got out of high school!! Total professionals, and a class act all the way.

I like a lot of their jazzy cuts.

I've always liked Count Basie's “Corner Pocket” and I like what they did with it.

Brian Wilson said "Surfer Girl" was his best ballad, but I disagree. The harmonies and vocal arrangement are nice.

Having seen these singers many times at EPCOT as the "Voices of Liberty" in the American Pavilion, I can attest they sound even better live and in person. They are just spectacular.

My wife asked if I had seen the dog bowl. I told her I didn't even know he could.

They are always at the top of the tree choir during the Christmas Processional concerts every year. They sing with the all employee choir. They add a lot of great harmony and the very high, high, high notes!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
