Hello Forum Friends, Yes, I know it's been some time. But Rob's been so preoccupied with his software development, that there's not much time left for music and singing. For some years I've been the musical director of a vocal group of which I am also one of the singers. But it's a group that sings songs from the 60's up till now, so they're all covers. That's why I use BIAB for many songs and it keeps me very very busy, making... covers! And therefore I cannot post them here. The singers of the group may choose a song from time to time and recently they chose a Dutch song from 1983. I made the music with BIAB and sang all the vocals. It is also very topical nowadays, with two wars going on. I thought it's such a pity I couldn't let you know the results of all my hard BIAB work  And as I couldn't post it here, I've decided to post it on the "I just heard Band-in-a-Box on YouTube" Just in case you might be interested, you'll find it there. Glad to see you both back, and even happier that you're still making music, even if it's mostly covers.
Nice song, and funnily enough I understand some of the Dutch lyrics (I don't speak Dutch, but I've always loved the sound of your language).

Agree with BD that the Dutch language is lovely. And...so it this song! Very strong vocals, and great job with the band.

YAY!! You're back. It's been a minute (the new definition there). My first question is, "How have you two been?" And then I read your answer. You guys are doing well. Good luck with your software, Rob. I've done a lot of covers with BiaB, too, and YT has a great sysytem for copyright use. I'll look for you there, Anne-Marie.

It's really great listening to you again. I don't know if you realise it, but you have a very comfortable and friendly sound when you sing. It always makes me feel good. This is such a well mixed song. Everything sits and fits perfectly. I'm really glad you posted it. As an aside, a couple of years ago, I read in a book on the history of English that Dutch was arguably the closest language to English. That thought came back to me as I listened to you sing this song. I can only speak English so maybe I just imagined it, but some words in the song almost seemed to make sense to me. Spooky! My experience with this song was similar to when I listen to Filipinos speak Taglish, which is a mixture of English and Tagalog. I can understand some things here and there and it feels like I can almost make sense of what I'm hearing. I wish you and Rob all the very best! --Noel
