Hi floyd jane,
Nice choice of RT. What surprised me is that RTs with a BMP of 65 fit so well into your composition. The song is pleasant. I appreciated.

A good lightly thumping rocker.
"i've got an empty shotgun seat to wherever you want to go" I haven't heard that term in a long term. "I've go shotgun"

Great drive and rhythm, first class instrumentation and as usual creative lyrics, verses and chorus. Enjoyed the ride! Thanks! Man, I really like this Floyd. It has a Springsteen type feel in the DNA of the chord progression.
I like how in the first phrase of V1 you are in the normal IV chord (it seems), but in the second phrase you hit kind of a 4 sus, (Bbsus, or Bb/F, etc).
Very subtle, but it gives it that total Springsteen feel.
Oh yeah. Everything else is great too, as usual, vocals, phrasing, mix, and on and on and on.
Niiiiiiiiice. A winner!
Happy Easter. Hey, is that some kind of music theory stuff???? Next you'll expect me the Read Music!! AQAACK! I just write songs and sing 'em, ya know.... Floy, definitely...FUN!! Wonderful song, and DYNAMITE vocals. That lead guitar smokes, too. Could be a deep track from the Boss for sure. Nice one! Much appreciated, Ron...

A great fun listen - loved the way you used the organ. Huge sound!
Peter Thanks, Peter... Floyd,
This is a new favorite. LOVE the vocal and song. The arrangement is tight and aggressive. The mix is upfront and rocking.
As Bruce would say - this one is "tougher than the rest"...
Bob Very much appreciated, Bob...

FJ, Neat compact cross genre composition. Cool uplifting tune, easy to follow lyrics and mixed very well. Super vocals! Thank you for sharing, Misha.
P.S. You are absolutely right about places BIAB can take you. That diversity and ease of style fusion is probably my #1 reason of using BIAB.

Floyd, I love the way you let the organ scream in the background. The hard panned guitars are right for the "power" soaked sound & feel...besides they leave a lot of space for the organ and fabulous vocal performance. "...wings of fire or feet of clay black or white or shades of gray I'm with you either way trouble or fun." That's a bunch of lines that state a case for raunchy guitars and mayhem, Well done.

Nice little rocker you've made. With a lot of lyrics I can learn from. "empty shotgun seat", "feet of clay" ... phrases I've never heard before, and that I never would have thought were proper english. The driving 'on the run' feeling makes the song so compelling to me, I love this mood. The drums seem to lack a bit of high-end (and my Yamaha monitors are already quite bright), but I assume that's intentional on your part. Anyway, I enjoyed the listen, that's what counts Thanks, Brian. Both of those expressions are quite common. I do sometimes EQ the high end out of the BIAB drums to tame the cymbals, but this one I did not. (I do like a "darker" drum sound) So cool that you're using BiaB for such explorations, floyd. There are a lot of very unusual styles in the program, and there are some really good uses demonstrated on this forum that I never would have imagined. Man, you are such a talented fellow. Great production and the band is well-planned, and worked perfectly mixing the Bros with the Brits. The feel drives the group in a wonderful musical direction, and your excellent vocal is at the wheel. Thanks, Marty. Just having fun, ya know.... Loved the groove, the band, the vocal, and the mix.
PS - I have had both fun and trouble wandering around the realm of BiaB. Thanks, Mario...

Nice rocker, those rhythm guitars together with that RD create a pleasant rhythmic bed. Lyrically no trouble, just good fun. The organ and guitar soloist do great work together. Powerful vocal performance. Miracles happen, great visit beyond the normal agenda.

HI Floyd,
Nice country rocker! Another gem - just like all the others.
Like B.D., I think the drums could use a little more "pop" - but that's simply a personal opinion - feel free to ignore. Di always finds it easy to ignore me - so I have experience with being ignored!!
As you know, I walk the halls of BIAB and pop into a few rooms I'd never been in before. I sometimes find something interesting! It's quite a maze to explore. BIAB a gift worth many times its price.
Sometimes trouble can go hand-in-hand sometimes!
Cool song - great presentation!
Take care,
Alan Thanks, Alan. I'll bump the drums on the next rocker... Hi Floyd,
I always enjoy the times you rock out a little, you do it really well IMHO.
For my tastes I would bring up the B3 a little, the guy doing the solo parts. Bring him up to the same level as the solo guitar, especially when they are trading licks.
Good song, enjoyed! Appreciate that, Dave.I'll work at that b3 balance... Nice to hear you rocking it, Floyd. You have such a great vocal tone.
Vic Thanks for that, Vic. I've always felt like "an imposter" when I have to sing a rocker...

Well, that was most definitely FUN. (Janice was dancing all over the room. 😊)
And Attitude, yeah!!
Power vocals and a tight band and the guitar and organ work great together.
Even when you are dropping a "throw away" song the result is a most enjoyable high bar production.
Rock on, mr. jane!
J&B
PS. And your cover art colors perfectly match our kitchen (where Janice dances around often)! Thanks for the great review I really enjoy the energy of this song. Drum track is perfect. Gayle - thanks for stopping by! Great song Floyd. Like everyone, I like the groove you came up with. I really liked those BGV's you put in. The effects and mix are fantastic. I sure liked the way you used that lead guitar too! Great stuff.
BrAD Good to see ya, Brad! Thanks. I love the BIAB lead guitars - I can almost always get something that shines...

Feels good listening to this ... "Running on Empty" feel, but you make it all your own. You do a lot with just a few chords. Great lyrics, vocals, and production as always.

Hi floyd!
Wow! Those three minutes of song disappeared in a flash. This is such an engaging write. The groove is brilliant, and your performance and the production sizzled. As always, this is first-class everything all the way.
All the best, --Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
