Hi!
I would so much like to be able to scroll normally. Seems to me scrolling is more like changing screens, than what is normally scrolling.
Best regards Kim Holst DK

I assume you mean the "scroll" in the notations windows.
Yes it should scroll and not jump every four bars PLUS there should be a second window that shows all tracks. Perhaps we will see that in Mac BIAB 2011 ?

I think it's the main/default window, not Notation, not Drum, not Guitar, not List Edit Window (can't be selected), but ..... the window where I type in the chords and mark A and B rhythm.
I have 16 lines of 4 bars on screen on my MacBook pro 13".
If I unfold a song it easily covers more than 64 bars, and it's quite difficult to keep track of what's going on in the bars around bar 64, since I can only choose to see 1-64 OR 65-128.
It's not jump for every 4 bars in that window, it's jump for every 64 bars.
Or did I miss some setting?
Kim

This is very important to me! I can not work properly with BiaB as long as this is not fixed. As a songwriter I often have sophisticated song structures that are longer than 64 bars and that don't make use of the standard repetitions. Normal scrolling windows that enable me to easily copy paste song parts are essential!

Now I see that the previous posts are already almost 2 years old. Surely this should be fixed by now? Any preference I'm missing?

Yeah, I mentioned this in the Beta test. The main window still doesn't do it, but a lot of the other windows are now scrolling properly and responding to two fingered gestures.

You guys are right -- this is my number one issue with the Mac version of BIAB as well. I also work with longer songs and sometimes add a measure or two here or there, and not being able to scroll normally in the window where I'm entering the chords is a major frustration. It's very unfortunate that PG didn't manage to fix this in BIAB 2013. Is it that major a programming task? I just shelled out a couple hundreds bucks for another Mac audiophile version upgrade, but did so after swallowing hard. I'd be more than delighted if PG managed to address this in an update -- before they come out with 2013.5 or 2014.

multiple choice?
a. sorry guys, theres way too much coding involved, too few resources and not enough return on investment.
b. sure its on its way. next update in fact, we realize how inconvenient it is and would like to reward our loyal customers by updating the interface to the 21st century.
c. no way jose. though we understand that your hard earned $ have paid for many a slice of pizza, this is part of the new cruelty get used to it

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
