I just wanted to post a quick demo.
This was a one shot recording using my Live tracks. No massaging what so ever. I played, sang & pushed the button for the harmonies.Hope you enjoy!
BTW No pitch correction either.

It's a cool unit. I use one of these, but I don't use the harmonies, they just don't fit with what I do and I don't want to deal with the footswitch. But I think they sound great on this and you use it very well and don't over do the harmonies which is common. Nice singing I enjoyed it very much. Even w/o the harmonies the unit adds greatly to my vocals in a live setting.

Good job, I like the way you placed the harmonies - they don't draw attention to themselves - but sound great.

Thanks for the comments.Much appreciated.
For those that do listen just to explain that I don't do recordings to be place on CD.I'm just not interested in that. Strange I know. My recording is for live playing so my technique is a different approach. First off everything is stereo with all the instruments panned dead center.I also try for a more raw live sound verses a smooth polished sound. On stage I want to feel a real band behind me. Just my approach right or wrong.
BTW I did push the vocals slightly out front for the demo.

Nice work John i loved the harmonies on that thjey were just right. One thing i started to do recently is to actually record the harmonies into the song and to break them up and record one voice at a time so i can do a smidge of panning and effects.

This take time, but the results are great and i do not need to carry the harmonizer unit with me.

I've mulled that one over in my mind as well. I need to think it through a little more though.

Hey John! This sounds good to my ears. You sound a little like Willie Nelson. You have a good country voice. The harmonies were pretty good. occ

Ditto! And to that it takes a little work, especially for live setup but you did good.

John, it’s all been said. You have a fantastic country voice and those harmonies were perfectly blended into the song.

If I heard this at a record/CD store I would have bought it on the spot.

Two thumbs ups.

Eventually got to listen.
Well done, but I found it difficult to hear the harmonies as it sounded, to me, more like doubling BUT nicely done.

I enjoyed it very much and I bet your audiences will enjoy it a great deal too.
Your subtle use of the harmony adds just the right seasoning.
Great job.

If you don't mind me asking, what style were you using ?

Thanks all. My intent really was just to show how nice this unit is by just plugging it in and going with it.I got it last Friday and used it Saturday night. Over a PA it really adds.

Bill,
I don't use styles at all. The first thing I do for songs is lay it all out in BIAB then open it in RB. At that point I delete the first 8 tracks which are the BIAB tracks. I build my tracks one at a time. I try to keep my "band" consistent so I sound like a typical 6 piece country band.If you listened to me play it sounds like a Real Band playing different songs.

Richard,
Yes I am on June 4th. It's a benefit for Habitat for Humanity. It's being held at the Lodge at Copperhead just a mile off 515 between Blueridge & Blairsville.I play at 12:00PM until 2:00 and again at 3:30.
It'd be nice to meet you if you make it.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
