I've been trying to get BIAB gig ready, and need to get Realtracks to work with Conductor so I don't have to play a predefined number of choruses.
I think that I can handle the "now" option, but really wish that BIAB would go the last chorus automatically after the current chorus ends when directed to do so.
I need to use an ASIO driver. My computer has a Sound Reality driver. When I use the ASIO option, I get no sound at all.
Is it the ASIO driver that's causing the problem?

I should clarify a little bit: Would a different ASIO driver make it work?

First off why do you need to use an ASIO driver?

Unless your live gigging involves the realtime playing of a softsynth with a MIDi keyboard or other typr of MIDi instrument, you don't really need ASIO sound drivers for the application. There is no audible difference between ASIO and Windows Sound, when all is said and done, both create identical PCM Digital Audio.

Thanks Silver and Mac.
Everything works fine until I use Conductor. If I use a querty key with the "now" option enabled to go to the last chorus, there is a noticeable delay, and it's too long to be acceptable. I read in another thread that the delay when using an ASIO driver is minimal. When I tried it, I got no sound at all.

You could try downloading and installing the ASIO4ALL sound drivers, they may work with that card, don't know, but trying is not permanent at all. http://asio4all.com/ Computer speed and power may come into play here as well. For example, I have some older puters running XP and some of them do not want to do the Conductor, RealTracks and DXi synths fast enough to work on a live gig. In one instance, I discovered that one of the laptops will do the job indeed, using its internal soundcard and those ASIO4ALL drivers, BUT - I must use a hardware MIDI synth, not invoking DXi. Funny thing is that it would stutter even in songs that had no MIDI parts on any tracks, as long as the DXi synth was invoked... HTH, --Mac

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
