Having gone through tons of posts relating to the problem of disappearing Real Track styles, I thought I had solved it about 2 weeks ago when I actually had them happily re-appear. When I opened BIAB for the first time since, they were gone again. Is this situation going to persist, or will there be a permanent fix? I have quite a powerful Toshiba 18" notebook with tons of memory and a fast processor if that matters.

Check the "routing" file locations in Biab. They have to be in a sub folder in the main Biab program folder in order for Biab to "find" them. Don't forget to to "re-build" your style list AFTER setting up the correct directory/file location of the Real Tracks/Drums.

*Is the UltraPak drive connected to USB when you start BiaB?
*Might you have chosen to Install BiaB to C: drive but left the Realtracks/Realdrums on the USB drive, as many of us do in order to save space? If so, check to see if BB is runing from C: drive but Real selections are not pointing to the USB drive.
**Try connecting the USB drive, then open it and doubleclick on the BiaB icon on the USB drive, let it start and see what you've got going on that way.

Thanks Mac. No, I have the correct path set in Preferences for both Real Tracks and Real Drums. In my case K:\bb\RealTracks

Try using C drive, instead of K and see if the RT's start generating. Don't forget, you should "rebuild" your style list anytime you make a change.

Thanks Trax. BIAB is not installed on C: drive on the laptop, just on K: which is the ultrapak USB drive supplied by PG Music with the Ultrapak. It normally runs fine from this drive.

Do you know if Biab installed onto your main HD on your PC?
If the routing is correctly set up to find the Real Track/Drum folder from within the main BB:/Real Track folder(s) on your K drive, you may want to try deleting/copying-paste your BBW.EXE file again into the K drive folder for Biab.
Sometimes, deleting and copying/moving that folder back in cures some ills for Biab. Make sure to copy/save it to a safe location prior to ANY moving of files.
I have done that before to "reset" Biab here and it worked for whatever problem I was having at the time.
I hope PG & Team can find a "fix" for the "routing" troubles we have with the Real Tracks? It doesn't take much to have Biab miss finding those folders, especially when people install them in other places on their PC's.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
