Hi. I work with RealBand 2012.5. It seems to be sufficient for my privat homerecording. I cann´t understand the difference to other studio programs like Cubase or Ableton or Magix. Are only the more of possibilities, or are there essential differences between RealBand and the other programs 1)Do you have any ideas? 2)You know Magix Samplitude Studio 2013? Can you recommend it as supplement to RealBand? Thanks Lucky

Everyone has their own preferences and it's true that each software package has it's own strengths and weaknesses, but basically it comes down to how you like to work and finding a system which has the features you need.
In my experience, RealBand is a very powerful program which, if you take the time to learn it thoroughly, will do most things. Unless you find something which you want to do which you can't accomplish with RealBand I'd stick with it. All you'll get with a different program is a new learning curve.
ROG.

Very sage advice. I have four recording programs and every one of them does home recording, and they all do it well. I use RB the most by a far margin. While the others have a few refinements to work flow, none of them generate Real tracks and drums.
Look at it this way just learn the program and have a great time.
Lenovo Win 10 16 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2022, Realband, Harrison Mixbus 32c version 9.1324, Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app, Komplete 49 key controller.

Yeah, I have other programs here also. When I start a project though, I lean toward RB. If I need something I can't do in RB I'll move over to another program, but using RB keeps some pretty significant options open. PT/RB seemed pretty intuitive to me so I've used them for a long time. If you have it, try it. If you struggle with it, investigate others. Some like a different approach (like traktion) but that one is uncomfortable for me personally. Kind of like many of the Adobe products; to me they are a pain at first (not intuitive) but after use I see how they are designed. Use whatever you feel comfortable with, and switch when you need to.
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
