I notice that the bar selector allows 255 bars (like BIAB), but the on screen grid shows 272 bars.

Hey, this forum is amazing... Here is the BBweb beta thread  Yes, John, I noticed that too. And "begin bar" and "end bar" options are 1 to 255, too.

The program worked fine on XP using IE8.
You may want to add tempo guidelines for each style. I dragged the _DREAMYP style from 120 BPM to 60 BPM. The generated file (as expected) didn't sound very good.
I changed part markers and never could tell if, or when, there was a change from a to b or b back to a.
The idea for a potential customer to have the capability to make their own demo song is a winner.

I suggest adding a couple top 40 and dance type styles to attract curious users who would otherwise be drawn over to Garage Band.

. Bear with me hear. I am trying to put myself in the position of a complete newbie.
It seems to me that "Demo" is easier than creating a new song. "Demo" provides more instant results and it is fairly obvious what happens.
To lead the curious to the easiest task first, move the "demo" button all the way to the left and the "New" button to the right. Also, set up the Demo process so that the song plays automatically. Dont make the user have to figure out the differences between "Play" "Generate" and "New" - at least not at first.

It took 37 seconds to generate the "DreamyP" demo song. I have a pretty fast Inet connection and a pretty fast computer, (win 7) so I would say this is unacceptably slow.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
