Being the gentleman you are, I wanted to check your work... so I searched for your record "Brazilian Wish" and I bought it through CDBaby.com.

I just wanted to say how much I've appreciated the general feel and I think the arrangements are a notch up from "excellent".

Keep up the good work, Matt; and for the rest of the Forum, check this man's record: you won't regret it, I'm telling you, folks!

Yous very truly,

I've been listening to Matt's fabulous Pandora station for over a year and making him independently wealthy at about 1/1000 cent per play. I listen every day. If all of his forum friends would tune his Pandora station I know that Matt would appreciate it.

My goodness, I just saw this thread. Thank you, Pepe, for your most kind words.

So Don, you're the one? My Pandora account has almost enough for me to buy one hard candy, and it's all on you! Sweet.

You never know where your music will show up. Tell you a quick story. My guitarist on the CD was on hold with Verizon and heard a guitarist soloing on the wait-on-hold music. He thought, "That cat sounds pretty good". Then he thought, "That cat copped some of my licks!". Then he thought, "That's me!". He called me right away. Turns out, Verizon was using Music Choice, the same service you hear on the cable TV jazz channels. Pretty cool.

Again, to you two and to all who viewed this thread, many thanks.

I had that experience one Christmas season in a store.

But I was thinking, "That cat not only ripped me off, he ain't playin' it right."

"Doggone, now he's WAY in front of the beat, miscreant."

And then I heard something towards the end that proved it was indeed my cut...

heh

The only "air play" I ever got was when I would go into my choirpractor or dentist's office and they have my music playing. Of course the set me up.

Is a choirpractor a chorus leader who performs adjustments to the human spine?

Wow,

I had no idea Matt was such a successful pro musician, unlike some of us amateurs, at least speaking for myself. It was amazing to read all of the different wind/brass instruments that he plays. I'm jealous, wish I could play just 1 instrument, one-fifth as well.

I've always wanted to play lots of different instruments, hence my love for Wind controllers and Samplemodeling synth samples. It's no real substitute for playing the trumpet etc. but I'm having a lot of fun.

Not only is Matt so very good at what he does but he is also a really nice fellow, always willing to help anyone.

That video promo of Brazilian Wish is terrific, like the music.

Thanks,

You guys are good as your word: I noticed an uptick in sales, and I thank you!

The video was an experiment using the web program, Animoto. I like the program a lot.

Dan, the wind controller can come pretty close in some situations to a real instrument. I played one show where they couldn't afford a string bass, so I played the critical bass parts on the WX5 using the Acoustic Bass patch. That same show kept me busy, since I was also covering the flute book as well as lead trumpet. My wife was the lead actress, so I did what I could to make it work.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
