Dear all,
let's assume I have a song (instrumental) with 3 or 4 choruses and I want to have in each of them a different instrument playing the soloist part. Is there an easy way of doing this ?
Any advice is accreciated.

Which version of Biab? This has changed over the last few years but you can start by looking in the Soloist window and carefully following all the options there.

Biab/RB latest build, Win 11 Pro, Ryzen 5 5600 G, 512 Gig SSD, 16 Gigs Ram, Steinberg UR22 MkII, Roland Sonic Cell, Kurzweil PC3, Hammond SK1, Korg PA3XPro, Garritan JABB, Hypercanvas, Sampletank 3, more.

Hi jazzmammal,
I have the latest 2014 version. I was searching in the forum and found this one here:
but I didn't get it working.

Sep, Assuming that you are using RealTracks I would suggest this as a starting point. A three chorus song of 32 bars each is typical. Not wanting a Soloist to play the complete chorus would go something like this. With the chords entered, select a style, right click on Soloist, this will bring up the Soloist picker. Make your choice and click regenerate. Right click bar #1 and choose bar setting from the list. Select chorus[#1], next mute the Soloist, then right click (same as F5) on bar 17, chorus[#1], click Soloist-back to normal. right click bar 28, in bar settings-[chorus #1], fade Soloist 7 percent. Right click bar one. This is different. In bar settings-select chorus [#2], then click the small RealTracks box. Make your selection and check ok. Click a bar and choose chorus [#2] again to-fade this where ever/change by +or- percent per bar/mute etc. Finally (wheeeew), right click bar one or 10 or what ever. Choose chorus [#3]. Then in bar settings, repeat the procedure outlined for bar #2. This may not be the correct way, but it is my way. I hope it at least points you in the general direction. Or you can open to one long chorus and skip all of the chorus this and that -----Leon

Thanks a lot Leon for your explanation of the way how you do it. It works quite well and I think that's a good way in not using the soloist only. I guess that there are even more ways to get it done.

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
