Hi Percy,
Has BIAB displayed elapsed time in the past? I've never used this feature so I'm unsure.

The length of the song and what bar number is playing are at the top of the BIAB screen in the blue bar Later, Ray

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the quick replies.
At the top of the BB screen, as Ray mentioned, Bar Settings: TimeSig to 2/4 is displayed.
To display the song file as well as chorus number, overall time of song, and the invoked style, I have to hit the space bar. This works only when the curser is at Bar1. At any other bar, the bar number, beats and ticks are displayed.
I don't remember how it worked in BB 2013.

Hello Again,
Just to update:
I was having problems with only one file. After looking at other files, they seem to work fine- as Ray indicated.
I set the file in question to a time signature of 2/4 and conclude that this change caused the unusual behavior.

We should test this out.
Edit: I took a song in 4/4, changed the first bar setting to 2 beats, and I still see the measure number and total time.

Matt,
Still in 2/4 time, I tried generating an RT Fiddle solo and it was almost non-musical.
After changing the time sig back to 4/4/, the RT played properly and the blue line at the top of the screen displayed all song info properly.
I think the file was originally midi and something may have been corrupted. Always a good excuse. lol.
In any case, much ado about nothing.
P.S. to Noel-
The time display has always been around. I put all my material on MP3s and need to know the exact length of every song so I can plan my breaks accordingly. Another lol.

sometimes if the song's file name is long (e.g. many subfolders) you can't see the elapsed time

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
