The link don't work, but I was curious and went to www.fiverr.com. Crazy stuff there for sure.

FWIW . . . I know some people who have used this site to get logos done and I was very impressed by the work done. And yes the cost was 5.00. LOL

Once on the site, go to "Music & Audio", then "Singers and Songwriters". I'll do them one better. I'll write you a thirty second song for a buck-fitty. grin

Wow.... they sing a whole 4 bars for $5... one even goes the extra distance for you and will do a whole 30 seconds of your song for $5.... amazing.... So I guess if the song is 4 minutes long.... 4 minutes divided by 30 seconds equals eight 30 second $5 spots..... so.... $40 gets it done...... OH WAIT... I'm wrong.... checked a bit further and the increased time is exponential....

Recording vocals longer than 30sec for personal use:

Up to 2 mins $30;
Up to 3 mins $60;
$100 for a full song.

Sure got expensive fast....

I'm kinda having fun with it... but on a more serious note.... if you have a song that you can't sing, if the singer does the song well and with some sort of emotional inflection.

Might come in handy for plugging songs.... the drawback I saw on one advert there was "for private use only"... so if you're in the film & tv market that kinda eliminates that as a source for vox.

Or, you could just hire a pro.

I will say first hand if you sift a bit, there are some great people doing great work on there...and at a reasonable price.

It also depends on what you are used to paying and time frames.

There are also some people on there that are not doing such a great job.

It's pretty easy to tell who is who, because they put examples out there.

Bottom line, I have never sold my services on there. I have used their service and had some great results.

I do think the name of this thread could have been MUCH better.

You can point to the bad talent, or point to the good.

Some of them on fiverr are pros! And priced slightly below or at demosingers pricing.

Bottomfeeders, joking around. Fiverr I wouldn't think would make as good of a name for a band.

Didn't mean to derail the thread. Have at it about Fiverr. smile

That's cool! I know a few people who have done pretty well with it. I would think it could be a good fit for you two.

I have a friend who got a nice video done for one of his songs using this service. Of course it ended up costing more than $5 but it was a good price and he was happy with the result.

I could see it as something potentially useful. Especially if I needed a female vocalist.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
