Hi,
Im sure this is something simple I missed - - but, are real tracks supposed to save with the song? I opened
my file - and they are all gone.

No. That's a good habit to practice to ensure the song saves the way you want it, but a regular save should be saving the selected RealTracks with it.
Try Option, Return to Factory Settings. Save your song, reboot and reload. Then see if a regular save and load works. Also, test with another song to rule out the rare possibility that the first song file is corrupted.
Is there any possibility you froze the tracks and then moved the location of the song?

The tracks save, but since I mostly use real tracks and don't freeze them, they will regenerate when I reopen the song, or when I make changes to the structure.
Not a problem, because I usually do not fall in love with anything BB does... to the point that I say I absolutely have to save THAT track. I rarely find anything to be that critical to the success of a song project.

The tracks save, but since I mostly use real tracks and don't freeze them, they will regenerate when ok, so you have to freeze them to stay the same? Does that mean convert to WAVE? thanks

Not quite. The file is much larger when the tracks are frozen, but that's not like saving each track as a .WAV file. You could do that, but by freezing all the tracks it's not necessary. I do Save with Patches and Harmony, then click the All button in that dialog box to freeze the tracks.

Another good method is to open the song in RealBand (where the tracks stay fixed, unless you regenerate), or Drag 'n Drop the tracks into another DAW software.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
