I attached a picture of the style picker popup. I moved the popup down a bit so you could see the criteria I used which has a red box around it. I placed two red arrows at the two items that have a different number.
Does anyone know why the numbers are different when I just upgraded to the 2022 UltraPak which has the same 3,300+ real tracks across the BIAB packages comparison page.
One thing I noticed when I was checking out my purchase was that there were a lot of extra money offers for more styles (or real tracks). It surprised me since I was under the assumption that these packages had all the tracks available.
Maybe someone can shed some light on this and lots would like to know. I did this research because the BIAB plugin is not working (my main reason for upgrade) and I wanted to know how many extra styles I got relative to BIAB 2016 which is still on my laptop. I just compared the left numbers 2016 to 2022 and there are 1,000 more styles using the exact same search. Not bad.
I am going to take a stab at clarifying based on my recent conversations with PG.
The additional "styles" that you can buy are simply styles using already present RealTracks (always RTs and not MIDI). So in these offerings you just get new arrangements, but not new RTs.
In the added RT offering, you do indeed get new RTs not in the current 2022 UltraPak, BUT I am told these are "sneak previews", if you will, and they will be released in the 2023 update to UltraPak, so essentially you get them early by buying the extra Pak.
I think I have that right and I hope it helps you.

Thanks BackingTrack. By the way I thank the BIAB backing tracks every day almost :-)
Regarding the quote I was wondering that this may be the case. It helps to steady cash flow and we want PGmusic to say around.
Regarding the two numbers I was trying to figure out how to get them equal. Maybe the not found are the sneak previews.

I hope, you have this wrong and we are not paying for something now that's included in 2023, essentially paying twice for the same RTs???
I'd like an official PG Staff member comment on this. If this would be the case, I'd never buy any of the "Xtra" Paks again.
Surely, there is some misunderstanding here, I hope.
Cheers, Mike

One year I noticed RTs in the upgrade that I had already purchased the previous year so I suspect this is correct. They don't offer the old 49 paks and I seriously doubt they are retiring them! Seems a little sneaky, right?

I think there is a bit of a misunderstanding. the $49 pack may give you RealTracks you might get next year as past of the standard upgrade. i'm not sure but i do know that Xtra styles are just that - complete styles you won't get without buying the disc.
for example Xpro discs are new styles using RTs available in the very basic pack. the cost of an extra styles disc is to give you new styles not new RTs.
and althought the $49 pak may include RTs you get next year, it contains 60 Unreleased RealTracks, 14 MIDI SuperTracks, 30 Artist Performance Songs with Vocals, 30 MIDI Styles, 12 Instrumental Studies, 20 RealDrums Stems, and a RealCombos Booster PAK with 38 brand new RealStyles, and more
so i really don't think you are getting charged twice for the same stuff
Yes you can wait until sometime in the future (next year ... maybe, even longer ... who knows?) for the RealTracks but the 49 pack includes other content too. What is included in the 49 pack changes from release to release but it's always more than just RealTracks.
This year in addition to 60 RealTracks the package includes: RealDrums Stems Set 2 (Two sets of Fusion based drum stems), Instrumental Studies Set 17: Classic Country Guitar Soloing (Six country ballad solos), MIDI SuperTracks Set 35: All Guitar (five guitar MIDI SuperTracks), Look Ma! More MIDI 8 (15 All MIDI Style Package) and Artist Performance Set 12: Songs with Vocals Volume 2 (28 MGU files with vocals on the Melody track). The 49 Bonus Pack is fully described +++ HERE +++.
Perhaps I missed it but I haven't seen any mention of the free Bonus Package included during the sale. The RealCombos Booster PAK provides ProPAK and MegaPAK customers with 100 RealTracks not included in their package. Everyone gets RealDrums Stems Set 1 (Two sets of Funky Americana drum stems), Instrumental Studies 16: Fusion Guitar Soloing, MIDI SuperTracks Set 34: Blues Piano and Organ, Look Ma! More MIDI 7, Artist Performance Set 11: Songs with Vocals Volume 1 and Over 300 playable RealTracks.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
