The first sticky post has a very nice 15- minute video on Microchords, Motifs and all the associated workings of the Microchords dialog box. It's thorough and goes at a good pace.

I found that it helped me when enlarging to video to use the YouTube link, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaF7kqZu-II&t=28s

Love the enthusiasm - I think the video is FANTASTIC! I'm not as familiar with the newer features as I'd like to be, and I found the instructions easy to follow and the explanations very clear.

It was awesome to hear these new features in action too!

This was one of the few times I said the intro video for new features needed to be longer, on this feature, and now you've done that. I think it will help a lot. Well done.

I'm still wondering about the name "force enabled" but at least I understand it now.

Yes, that is a great new feature and video.

I have used and in the process of using micro chords in a couple of new songs. My only problem with them is the terminology. Micro chords, really? Why not say "in BiaB we can now add chords up to a 16th note resolution"? That's it in a nutshell, right ? YMMV

PS - I can see where a new comer can get really confused by PGM's nomenclature.

They passed up a chance to call it HD Chording or Hi-Rez Chording, which would still be marketing buzzer talk but would at least make a little more sense.

Would it be correct to say that these short duration chords are played staccato?

Depends.
If you enter them as motives yes, else, it plays the new chord until the next chord comes along.

I would not say that, but I think it depends most on the tempo.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
