This is really weird. I clicked on the song and it opened BiaB. I then clicked on play. I clicked on the song again, a fresh start, and click on regenerate. I opened BiaB, another fresh start, the selected the song and hit play. Started BiaB again, selected the song and hit regenerate. I repeated these processes a number of times. In all cases the song played perfectly.
Note that this is on my Internet computer that uses the on board Realtek audio chip.
I will retry this on my music computer.
{edit} I just tried this on my music computer. I use the Roland Octa-Capture as my audio interface on this computer. I got exactly the same results as above.
As far as I can tell the only difference between your and my computer is the OS as I also have an i7 desktop with 16 gigs of ram. You are running Windows 11 while I am running Windows 10. Music Student is also using Windows 11. Maybe that is the difference?

Opened and ran fine for me all the way through. 2023, build 1006, Windows 11. Had no issues. chose different audio drivers and midi devices and could not get it to crash.
My wife asked if I had seen the dog bowl. I told her I didn't even know he could.
If I play it from the Chord Sheet view: It works fine and plays fine and the lyrics are shown ok. It works fine to play again and again and and to generate and play again.
If i play it from the Notation view: It plays fine the first time around. If I play it again or generate and play again it Crashes in memory violation.
If i play it from the Piano Roll view: It Chrashes the first time around with memory violation.
But within the Chord Sheet view it seems to work ok.
Then I did a Factory Reset and now it seems to play fine in all Views (chord view, notation view, load sheet view and piano roll)
Duplicating what shlind did I played the song from the notation view and it played perfectly AND it showed the lyrics. The lyrics were with the notation.
I played it from the piano roll view and it played perfectly but no lyrics were shown.
Once I expanded the big lyrics window the lyrics and chords were shown in the chord sheet, the notation view and in the piano roll view. This is probably just my inexperience with the big lyrics view as I have never used it before.
With this MIDI song either crashing or playing perfectly regardless of the OS this bug (?) may be hard to exterminate.
I used the MIDI monitor and saw a ton of redundancy with the CC values. Although I have not used this MIDI monitor I have used others outside of BiaB and I as far as I can remember I have never seen this type of redundancy. Those whom are having crashes may want to delete the redundancy as see it that helps.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
