The Onion is a satire newspaper, so everything they print has to be taken with a grain of salt. It's often funny, sometimes not, and not for everybody.
The link didn't work for me (it said article not found), but based on the text of the link it's not true.
What's funny is that I'll often recognize clippings from the Onion when Jay Leno does his headlines segment. Of course it's funny, but it was all intentional, because it isn't real. It's just satire.

And that's the way a 404 "not found" page should look! Very funny. Ray, you broke the Internet!

But you can mend the damage, according to them.
At least rharv is not to blame.

Maybe, but the Onion runs stuff like this every week.
It wouldn't surprise me if next week they run an article saying that RHARV was to blame in setting the piano on fire.
(Just to keep the story going).
Again, the onion is a Satire newspaper, with news stories pulled straight from the imaginations of its writers, with some basis on what's currently going on the world.

Well, there's an old saying in the business that "NO PUBLICITY IS BAD PUBLICITY" - supposedly meaning that all publicity is just publicity.
Some stars actually seek out such, not saying Harry C. did that, I don't think he's of the type to do that.
Michael Jackson, on the other hand, turns out to have been the source for many press rumors and such that likely a lot of folks still believe are true to some extent or other. A practice that came back to bite.
That said, I personally don't like any of it, Truth is having a hard enough time of it as it is.
And I don't think that reporting someone's demise that did not occur is humor.
"A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth can get her boots on." --Mark Twain said that.

The article is actually pretty funny. Quote:
NEW ORLEANS—According to a statement released by the New Orleans Police Department, a piano fire claimed the life of celebrated singer Harry Connick, Jr. late Tuesday night. Witnesses on the scene said Connick was in the midst of a particularly jaunty rendition of "S'wonderful" when the piano—which had been inspected just two weeks prior to the incident—suddenly burst into flames. "The burning lacquer just adhered to his skin like napalm," friend and witness Jamie Walters said. "Then the blaze got hotter, and the piano wires began to snap, cutting into his hands, arms, and face like steel razor whips. We tried to pull him away from there, but he kept running back to finish the song." Connick was 43.
It was dated Thursday, not Friday, so it wouldn't have been an April Fools Joke, just another Onion satire piece.
You can search The Onion for the story.
Gary

The link doesn't work. Go to <theonion.com> and scroll down to the Connick link. Later, Ray

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
