This is one I am too proud of to not post. This track is MOSTLY RD/RT's, but my friend Kephas added some awesome guitar to this tune. It's called Jazzy BluesMixed this one in Sonar... hope, you will give this one a chance and a listen! Thanks so much, Peter Gannon! You made it possible for me to create some (what I consider) AWESOME music!!! Cheers, Mike

Mike, I really like this one! Super mix.
Tell your soul brother that he has some massive chops going for him!
BTW, what RT did the sax come from?
I just posted a selfie and all of the responses were get well soon!
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

Mike, The guitar playing is superb, but the choice of instrumentation and chord progression are setting the scene right for your soul brother to shine. The mixing sounds perfect to me. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers, - Jepster

Nice.
Try sliding the sax and the guitar track very slightly forward in time, so that they are a bit behind the beat for a laid back feel. Highlight the entire track and shift forward in time by a few ticks. I like to use odd numbers for this, like maybe try 11 ticks to 25 ticks to start.
Get them off of being dead on the metronome, bro.
Most jazz/blues soloists do indeed play "behind the beat" -- which is a way of describing the technicals I describe above.
And don't shift both by the exact same amount, try a slightly different amount for each. Personally I'd try putting the sax a bit further behind the beat than the Rock Guitarist(s).

I like the tracks very much, also good advice above for that true laid back blues sound. Very hot guitar licks!

Thanks a ton, Mario. Related your comments to Kephas. Much appreciated.
I'm currently on the road and not near my computer... I'll have to reply back with the RT that the sax came from!
Thanks again!
Mike

Thanks, Mac. Appreciate the tips! I will try that as soon as I get home... and you're probably right... in Jazz and Blues, there's not such thing as being 100% on time when soloing!!!

Ok, Mac - followed your advice ... see it this sounds more like it, if you please...
Jazzy Blues - Laid Back, but still with Kephas!
Hope, this is it ... I definitely hear the difference!

Good job.
Isn't it something what a difference a few milliseconds here and there can make?

It is a pleasure, Mike.
Because you listened and you worked it out. Totally befitting a Dynaco owner.
Have fun,

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
