Hi -
I'm not sure if I have something set incorrectly but both my L&R channels pan to only my left speaker in PowerTracks?
I play MP3's it both channels work fine. I use the "Test" in Line Out Audio controls and everything works fine. My volumes are set equally to both channels.
I even play previous PT recordings and they only pan to the left channel.
Has anybody had this experience or know if there is a setting, I may have wrong.
Thanks again!
Wayne

Hi Wayne,
The obvious thing is to check the pan control on the master output fader. Even if it looks to be in the centre, move it to one side and then back to the centre. If you want the exact centre, right click on the fader and enter a zero.
If that doesn't work, go to the audio preferences and hit the drivers button. Re-select the drivers. If there's still a problem it could be that something went wrong when PT first analysed your soundcard. If you've got the original disc, try un-installing PT and reloading from scratch.
It would help to know if you're on MME or ASIO drivers.
Certainly, it's an odd problem - hope this helps.

Hi Wayne,
Since my last post I've found a problem associated with Behringer USB audio interfaces which produces the same result. I don't know if this is relevant to you, but I'll give details in case it helps anyone else.
If you're using any Behringer USB interface with the Behringer ASIO 32 bit driver (BEHRINGER_2902_WIN32_2.8.40.zip) and you're on Windows XP you can find that the audio is only out of the left channel. If you go to Power Tracks audio preferences and hit the drivers button you have access to another button (DRIVERS PANEL) which will take you into the Behringer settings. Because most of these interfaces are class-compliant and so don't ship with any software, this is the only way I know to get to the settings. In the settings window there's an option for one or two channel operation for both input and output. Now this is the strange bit - if both input and output are set for two channel working the sound only comes out of the left speaker. If you select one channel for the input and two channels for the output everything works as normal.
Just don't ask me why this works! Has anyone else got ant experience that might help understand what's going on here?
ROG.

See if Full Duplex is enabled in the audio settings (?) It should be.

Hi rharv,
Yeah, I can see that that would have an effect, but in this particular case it was enabled. The mystery goes on! Thanks.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
