I have a few songs with lots of pushes and shots, but the real tracks swing styles I use all seem to increase the volume on the pushes or shots and/or use excessive cymbal crashing and rim shot. Has anyone figured out a way around this. For awhile PG seems to have that fixed, but with the latest upgrade 350 they seem to be back and ruin the songs.

I guess my main problem was with the real drums, so I went to Preferences - Real Drums, and found adjustments for velocities and gave them negative numbers. Helped a lot, but I'll still have to use less shots.

Try going to Menu->Preferences->Arrange and uncheck the Allow Any Pushes and Allow Style Pushes checkboxes, generate the realdrums, freeze the drum track, return to preferences and recheck the two checkboxes so that the piano, bass, guitar, etc follow the pushes but the drums stay simpler.

THIS link may help. I ended up commenting out most of the shots I did not want. Not many needed volume adjustments after I found the one(s) I liked.

Sometimes I like the drums without shots, so I copy the song and change the chords to not have shots. I then take that drum track into a sequencer (drag & drop) along with the original song tracks (including drums with shots) and choose what I want for the final version.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
