So, I just updated the BiaB app on my iPhone. I've figured out a couple of things about the new version... Unless you actually have the "Download from PC or Mac" window open on the phone, the browser interface won't see it on the PC...
So, I loaded about 10 .SGU tunes into the browser... I see them appear in the window on the phone with a checkmark beside them. I select "Choose Folder for Save..." And I created a folder for them to go to... So, I open the folder and touch "SAVE"... The iPhone app acts like it's doing something--for about 1 second...Then it closes the app on the phone. When I open the app back up; go to "OPEN", and open the folder, and they aren't there.
The FIRST one made the trip... But the others didn't. So, I try the whole process again, and this time I only pick ONE .SGU file...(the second one in my list). Again, it says "SAVE", and when I do, the iPhone app closes, and when I open it up and go to the folder for "OPEN", there are no new tunes there.
It's like it worked once--but never again...
Am I missing something here?
----------------
Footnote: Even though I uploaded the .SGU file to the iPhone, the "Play" button shows up in RED, and when I click on it, I get an error message: "Error converting to AAC file"...
So, does this mean I can't upload .SGU files? I have to convert SGU to MP3, then Convert MP3 to MP4, and put the MP4 in some special folder for this to work?

And pardon me for jumping in on your thread, but I'm having a somewhat similar problem and hope that with two of us in here someone will actually come to our aid.
I just purchased the iPad app tonight and am trying to download music over the Internet (my downstairs computer runs BIAB 2008 so can't use the Server--I do have BIAB 2012 on another computer upstairs but I haven't installed the Server yet and this problem isn't about the server anyway...)
I have followed the instructions and put the IP number that the iPad app tells me to in my browser on the desktop. One time I did see the BIAB splash screen, I was able to browse to a BB *SGU file on my desktop, but when I clicked "Submit" I got an error message. Now, entering an IP number doesn't even get me to the splash screen. I just get "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 192.168.1.101"
What am I missing?

It sounds like there isn't enough space on the iPhone to store the files that you selected... Could you check your free space? Perhaps the files were very large for some reason.

If the play button is red this means that as far as the iphone is concerned, the song hasn't been generated. This means that the audio (.mp4 or .m4a) file is not present. This would make sense, because as you've said the files don't seem to be saved successfully.

You need to have the Band-in-a-Box song file (.MGU or .SGU) rendered to an .mp4 audio file. This can be done easily for a batch of files in the BB2Go dialog (under the Window menu) in Band-in-a-Box 2011 for Windows or higher. It can also be done in the Render to Audio dialog in PC or Mac. Then you will download both the Band-in-a-Box song (MySong.MGU) and audio file (e.g. MySong_Render.MP4 or MySong_AllMix.MP4)

It sounds to me like you are closing the dialog on the iPhone before going to the PC? The dialog must remain open until you've finishing submitting the files. Also check to make sure the iPhone isn't going to sleep/lock. I don't think that security software on the PC would be affecting this, however that's something to check as well. Let us know what you find and also your exact OS.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
