I am new to the forum. and this is my first post.
I have notice when I render to audio with some real tracks in the mix that I get a "file" realdrums.wav and a "file" render realdrums.wav. I believe the first of the two also has one of the other realtracks recorded in it - so that wav may actually be the drums and the steel guitar. Not a big deal since I still have a wav of the drums by themselves and the steel guitar by itself. - but I thought maybe I had something set wrong.
Thanks for any thoughts anyone may have

Powderman
When you say that you render to audio, are you rendering the whole BIB project into a single stereo wav? Or are you saving seperate wav track for each instrument?
Are you using the DXi soft synth as you render, or an outboard sound module.
More info would help.

Toucher, One track per instrument - DXI synth
It seems it has only done this the last couple of times that I rendered something - I think I will go back and see if I have changed anything in my setup.

Well - I did notice I had a couple of DXI effects plugged in when I clicked on the audio tag when opening the DXI window. I had them by-passed, but I took them off - did a render - and everything worked fine. Don't have a clue if they are related or not.

Good that you got er goin'......some things are hard to duplicate to find a problem. I've had a couple myself, which seemed to straighten themselves out on their own.
Glad you got it working, welcome to the forum, which seems to be rather quiet of late, normally someone with more knowledge than I would have jumped in to help, but we all get busy at times.

Hello Powderman,
If you had happened to also saved your song as a MIDI file in the same folder, with the option to "Also generate RealDrums in xxx_RealDrums.WAV file" checked, this would have created the *_realdrums.wav file that you see. The *_render_realdrums.wav file would have been created by the Render to WAV with each file on separate tracks.

Andrew,
I think that very well could have happened that way - so that explains that - but I was wondering why one of those files had drums and guitar playing together.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
