Hi all, Here's a new solo folk song called Maybe She's . All backing is BIAB/RT's, with the addition of my Gibson B-25 playing acoustic lead on the break. Hope you enjoy! Bob

Nice point of your lyrics in the end. Good use of BIAB.
Happy new year.

Bob,
Excellent work. The simple sounds, your vocals and lyrics telling a sad story capped off by the last two lines.
Thank you for sharing your music with us!

Bob,
I enjoyed Maybe She's a lot. I especially like the imagery of your lyrics here.
The sound of your voice works well with the very nice tune.
Overall sounds great. For me the song would flow better without the extended La-la, na-na portion.
I would do one line of la-s and one of na-s then to the last verse. Because your lyrics are so compelling I wanted to get to the final verse sooner.
Just one opinion out of a possible 7,088,211,000 and counting.

austin51,
Thanks for the thoughtful comments. I was on the fence about the extra line in the break. In the end, I decided to leave it in.

Hi Bob, Just a couple of days ago I was sitting here, reading through the forums and wondering how things were going for you because it's been a while since I've a read a post! Now here you are!! Spooky You've got my vote. In my opinion, the song, its mix and its production have worked hand in hand to create an enjoyable work of aural art. You got me thinking "Nice one, Bob. I like it." Happy 2013! Noel

Noel, Thanks - that means a lot. The last several months were very busy, so not much time for posting, etc. Looking forward to spending more time in the "studio". Bob

Bob - liked the simple arrangement and the simple acoustic lead over the la la la. Especially liked the image "The smell of skin and whiskey coming from her dress".

Bob,
I always look forward to hearing any of your songs. You always inspire me to be a better lyricist. This one does not disappoint. The imagery of your lyrics is always outstanding. (And by the way, like Noel, I have been missing hearing more from you.)

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
