These two new RT's sound good when I audition them but not when I load them into a track. They have a "staccato" quality, the very opposite of legato. The sound cuts off early before the end of a bar. This seems to be intermittent (not every bar) and I haven't found a pattern. It is happening the same on two fast computers. Every other string RT like solo violin has great legato.
I get the same problem if I load new style "moviest" which contains the string quartet #2335
Any ideas?
Thanks

Yes Tony, I concur.
Playing them solo, (plus a little reverb),sounds quite good, but with the other instruments, in a generated song, there are glitches. Some kind of stab or pluck, also cutoffs.
Definately acceptable on their own in the demo.
Needs work on it but very promising. I have wanted this for a long time.

This was reported during the beta from several different testers, looks like there will be a bit of retweaking done and available in those coming Updates to the program.

Yes. For now stick to triads (major, minor, like C or Fm) and things should be fine. A free patch will be coming soon to address those issues with other chord types.

The problem also seems to occur the most on a Dom7 chord here.
I found a bit of relief workaround by stripping off the 7's on the ChordGrid, changing them to "straight" chords, then Regenerating the Strings part.
If you like what you hear, Freeze the String Track and then re-edit the main file by putting those 7's back in for the other accompaniment tracks.
Just a "Git-R-Done" tip that may allow for work to get done with those new Strings while waiting for the corrected Update Patch.

Same problem occurs for me even with basic triads. The chords end abruptly to change to the next chord in most instances.

I haven't heard any problems with triads, including testing just now with all kinds of triads. Just heard beautiful string music.
Anyway, I'd recommend waiting for the update when we add 7th chords, due within a couple of days. And as stated above, just input triads (C,Cm) for the strings for now.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
