Hi,
ich habe eine Band in a Box 2013 (PlusPak)auf USB-festplatte. Die Version ist so installiert, dass nur die wichtigsten BiaB-Daten auf der lokalen Festplatte ist, während Real-Drums etc. auf der USB-Festpatte sind. Das ist die Installationsvariante, bei der am wenigsten Platz auf der lokalen PC-Festplatte gebraucht wird.
Nun habe ich ein Update auf die Version 2014 gekauft. Dazu wurden mir zwei DVD geliefert. Wie muss ich jetzt aber die Installation starten? Müssen erst alle Daten der beiden DVDs auf die USB-Festplatte und dann das Programm neu installiert werden? Wer kann mir bei dieser Frage helfen?

Hallo.
Updates müssen immer ins Root-Verzeichniss von Band in a Box installiert werden,in deinem Fall auf die USB Platte.Ich habs so gemacht,dass ich den Inhalt der USB Platte auf eine separate Partition kopiert habe,und dann auch nur die Minimal-Installation auf meiner System-Partition installiert habe.So hat man die Original USB Platte als Backup,wenn mal etwas schiefgehen sollte.
Bei weiteren Fragen schreib mir ne PM,oder hier ins Forum.

PS.Biab 2014 muss aktiviert werden,was man bei 2013 noch nicht musste.

Der Vater geht mit seinem Sohn spazieren. Da sieht der Sohn einen Vogel und fragt: "Papa, was ist das für ein schwarzer Vogel?" Der Vater antwortet: "Ich weiß es nicht." Später sieht er eine hübsche Blume, die ihm gefällt: "Papa, was ist das für ein Blume, die mit den gelben Blättern?"
Der Vater antwortet: "Ich weiß es nicht." -- So geht es noch ein paar Mal. Dann fragt der Sohn: "Du, Papa, geh' ich dir mit meinen Fragen auf die Nerven?" "Nein, frag nur, damit du was lernst."
Ich habe diesen Post gelesen und was ich hätte antworten können, habe ich geantwortet: Nichts.
Bei meiner Installation trifft das nicht zu und ich hab's auch nicht ausprobiert. Ich hätte spekulieren können...aber das hätte auch nicht weiter geholfen. Deshalb habe ich "nicht" geantwortet. Spekulation: Anderen geht es ähnlich.
Es wäre ganz schön still auf der Welt, schwiegen die Leute, die nichts zu sagen haben.

Soweit ich mich erinnern kann (da ich seit Jahren nur mehr die Downloads installiere):
Auf einer der beiden DVDs ist eine readme Datei mit einer Installationsanleitung.
Bei der Installation wird nach dem Speicherort gefragt.
Ansonsten einfach mal beim sehr flotten Support nachfragen

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
