That's very impressive not to say moving.
Also an incredible feat in terms of recording skills - so many different environments, times, ambient noises, etc. edited and mixed with no audible seams. Surely there would also have been a number of slightly different tempos to match, unless the project guys made each artist play to a click? And then there's mixing it to video! Truly a herculean task.
Could we do something similar? I guess we could do a similar audio project if we put our minds to it. We'd need to lock in the foundations first: song, key, tempo, length, common recording format, etc.

I did note that someone in every segment was wearing 'phones, so it's a given that there was a click going. Pitch correction would be a little easier (especially once Melodyne hits the street).
It was an awesome production, wasn't it? Of note was how the entire mix remained uncluttered. Love to know how they pulled that off.

That is a video from "Playing For Change." They have a few more songs they recorded from around the world.
Here in the US, it was aired on Public Broadcasting Station "PBS."
Someone had posted this in the forum about 6 months agao.
