First, I realize that there are four plugins per track.

But the default PG-Music reverb is used when you move the sliders and have not added a plug-in.

I'd like to replace that default reverb with my Breverb 32-bit.

I am not sure how to do that.

Can someone let me know how to replace the default reverb? I realize I can actively add plugin copies of Breverb to each track. I don't want to do that for each song.

My best guess is....

BIAB places a default amount of reverb on each RT. This can be removed prior to moving the track out of BIAB, or I believe you can set it up so RT's do not have the reverb on them by default. But you cannot substitute a VST as the default.

So the answer is "No can do in BIAB". That kind of flexibility is reserved for your DAW.

Yes, I use Sonar Producer.

Some songs don't require the full DAW treatment. I am trying to see what I can do in BIAB alone if I totally optimize it.

Breverb is wonderful and adds so much if you have good headphones or good sound card and speakers to hear it.

I checked with Support. It's not possible because the default reverb is built into the software.

If you use a default VST synth, you should be able to turn off the reverb for BB default and add Breverb to the default synth itself via the FX. Then it will be on all synth tracks. The reverb dial will no longer work, but you can have Breverb on all synth tracks.

For Coyote Forte (like the synth shown) turning off the default synth reverb is a matter of right-clicking the plugin itself.

The image below was accessed using the Audio - Realtime DX effects path.

.. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

The only songs that do not require the "full DAW treatment" are songs that are still in the demo or writing stage.

Once you have a song complete, then I would say, every song needs the full DAW treatment.

I only use BB for writing. Nothing else. I move the song to Real Band after I save it in BB and then I simply open the same file in RB. All tracks are rendered to audio and with no reverb or other fx that I can hear. I want dry tracks.....or as dry as I can get them.

Everything, and I do mean everything, ends up in Sonar for mixing and polishing once it's finished in BB and RB. Everything I write and record gets the SONAR treatment.

Just my 2 cents

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
