Noel,
Past uploads were MP3s. That will change now that I understand wav files are accepted.

Jim your combination of Super MIDI tracks and loops is very good.
I used to use loops and in fact have lot of old Acid loops. Maybe it is time to revisit them.
I just posted a selfie and all of the responses were get well soon!

A couple of years ago, I used to upload mp3s too. The problem with that was that my songs got compressed twice - once by me and once by Soundcloud (at that point in time, Soundcloud used to process and compress every file irrespective of whether or not it was already compressed). The double compression created volume issues and audio artifact issues for me. When I discovered that I could upload uncompressed WAV files, that helped a lot. I hope it helps your files, too. All the best, Noel

Jim,
I enjoyed that and know how much work must have gone into that production as I have played with loops in the past nut not with such a beautiful end result.
Thanks for the link to FreeCountryloops.com, I shall have a look at that site later.
Good stuff
Alyn

Hi Jim,
what a nice exercise. Your workflow is interesting. I like that harmonica. It's a pity the song is so short. Enjoyable listen. Are you a relative of Charlie? I wish you a Happy New Year.

Mario, Super MIDI Tracks are great! They offer the realism of a live performance, sound quality dependent on instrument choice and editing. The ideal would be to have a super MIDI Track companion for each RealTrack. I don't know yet if I'm a big fan of loops. "Fun With Loops" was a fun learning experience however loops have some serious tempo, time signature and chord constraints. Press the envelopes too much and artifacts quickly become apparent. I'm sure there will specific instances loops will be the best choice for me. Noel, I appreciate your advice. It should make for better SoundCloud uploads. Alyn, I am very impressed with FreeCountryLoops.com. They have country influenced loops for many instruments as well as loop tutorials and songwriting guides. They solicit feedback and listen. I've even read positive comments about Band-in-a-Box in the blog a few times! Thanks for the beautiful results comment. Absolutely made my day! Guenter, I'm still trying to figure out a workflow. I didn't realize until after I compiled the loops I should have kept notes of what I used and where so I let the Audio Chord Wizard figure it out. Yes, Charlie, c_fogle,is my brother but ... SHHH! Don't tell anyone, okay?!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
