been having a blast - haven't even had time to truly explore because I make up a progression in a style and then I have to finish a complete song- the music comes real easy -it is the lyrics that take the time for me…
but now I need to find some Electric guitar rock solos in Real Tracks -do they exist? for MAc 2014 version?
if so - how do I locate and use them?

Open up your Real Tracks picker, filter by "guitar, electric, soloist", listen to them. You're bound to find something that fits the bill.

Oops, I iignored the second part of your question. To use them, go back to the main screen and right click on an instrument part you're not using - "Strings" commonly, for instance. Look down the menus to find "Select soloist real track". Pick the one you've selected. If you don't like it, do this again and pick another one, repeat until you find one you like. Yes, you can use a guitar real track in place of strings - in fact with the Real Tracks, you can use any instrument for any part.

thanks for the quick response Bruce BUT there are no real tracks available for the style I am working in and no real track soloist for guitars in ANY of the styles in my version - Mac 2014
I know at NAMM they told me at the booth that an upgrade was coming - I guess more choices? But do "guitar, electric, soloist" real tracks exist elsewhere for Mac versions yet?
there are some terrific rhythm guitar tracks and some terrific jazz solo tracks -
I am pretty sure MY version does not have what you suggest. When I scroll "band styles" they are all grayed out except for 4 "jazz swing" 1 country , 4 campfire, 1 pop, - really quite pathetic and yet I have already written and produced 5 quality songs from this meager list.
am I missing something? did I perhaps not load the program entirely?

dblue, Welcome to the forums. What version of BIAB did you buy? If you bought the UltraplusPak or EverythingPak you should have electric guitar Realtracks. If you bought the ProPak or MegaPak, these RTs may be limited. The link below may help. http://www.pgmusic.com/bbmac.packages.htmRegards, Noel

I bought Mac 2014 for $89 and boy have I got my money's worth ….so will these ultra packs work for me on a mac- I need clarification …while I wait for 2015 Mac upgrade that I was told (at NAMM) would be pretty soon …

Sorry I missed the boat on your question! Sounds that the reason you can't find these is because you've got one of the less expensive packages that does not include very many real tracks. Definitely wait until the new version comes out and look at upgrading your package. You can do a lot with the midi styles in the meantime, though.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
