Sometimes when i try to use plugins in BIAB - my sampler popup with a warning about memory getting low. Is it the BIABs program memory it self that is to low for such popups? When i do the same in my DAW i do not get these warnings., the same plugins works fine there.
I think is it likely caused by BIAB loading RealTracks into RAM as they regenerate. Your DAW only needs to run audio files from disk (unless you are doing non-destructive edits).
Maybe bring up the Windows Task Manager and monitor your RAM as you run plugins in BIAB to see what happens.
How much RAM is in your system? If you are using Windows 32-bit, you only have around 3.2 GB to start with. If you have Windows 64-bit AND BIAB 2015, the new version supports using additional RAM for plugins using their special version of JBridge. So tell us more about your system specs.
BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors
My system have 8 GB Ram. Windows 8.1 64 bit system., but i use the J-bridge.
I do not know what " bring up the Windows Task Manager and monitor my RAM as i run plugins in BIAB " really means yet, but i will check if i can found about that. My computer knowledge is still pretty low.
I get that also, look for auxhost64.exe (jbridge) in the task manager, right click on your taskbar> Start Task Manager> list it by Process then click on Memory to bring the greedy ones to the top and see what is using it.
Ok, now i got it about the Task Manger... it shows Band-in-a Box Aplication (32 bit), when i got the Background Warning about memory getting low., but when i use the same plugin in my DAW (Cubase 7.5) i do not get the Background Warning about memory getting low.
The jbrige do not show up in the task manager, but i think that i´ts because i use BIAB 2014 for the moment. My 2015 version is on service for the moment. However, the Background Warning about memory getting low, pops up when using BIAB 2015 also.
Do not know much about computers, but for me it seems to be som kind of memory in the program(s) it/them self?, because the plugn(s) work in my Daw, but not in BIAB., such as one program do not have enough memory, but the other program seems to have enough memory., on the same computer. When i use the plugins in BIAB, the program stop working. When i use the the same plugins in my Daw, it works fine. Such as my computer seems to have needed memory to run the plugins., but not BIAB?
Maybe it´s that the memory usage is higher with BIAB + plugin, than with DAW + same plugin., i do not know., have to explore that more, to see if i can figure out more about that.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
