Quite often when practicing I go through a directory tune to tune using shift + F8 to open the next tune. If I change the style and save a tune, then the prompt box that a song has changed and I need to save appears, usually TWO or THREE tunes LATER when trying to go to the next tune. I have not made changes, this box should not be appearing. This happens on a consistent basis and in all folders.
This also occurs when going backwards in a folder using shift + ctrl + F8.

If I don't make any changes, then it never happens. Or if there are a few minutes before I try to move forward using shift + F8 it doesn't happen.

Bob:
I don't have an answer to your problem but I too frequently go through a folder song by song. In my case, it's just as easy to use the NEXT and PREV buttons. I assume from your comments that you only have easy access to the keyboard, is that correct?

Lloyd, I do have access to my keyboard, but since I am standing up holding my guitar, it is somewhat easier to hit shift F8 than it is to put the pick down and grab the mouse to hit next. Not sure of the issue exists if I use the next button though. I will check that out.

Bob:
First make sure you are using the most current Build of the BIAB version you have. For 2015 it's Build 417. Then try the "go to" solution of Return To Factory Settings.
If you still get a reproducible error, I would contact PGMusic support, either by phone or Live Help and have them recreate the problem on their end. It's likely they'll either find a solution or add it to the "needs repair" list.
Good luck! LLOYD

I use the Jukebox. Other family members also use it while playing "live" for various functions. Do you have a question about using it, or are you just trying to get a feel for how many forum members use it?
If it's the latter, you might be well to start a new thread in this Forum.

I am always up to date on the latest build. Can anyone else verify this happens to them before I reset to factory settings?

I am always up to date on the latest build. Can anyone else verify this happens to them before I reset to factory settings? Bob, I undertook some reasonable testing, using <Shift>F8, changing songs, using <Shift>F8 and using <Ctrl> <Shift>F8. I could scroll through many songs in either direction. The only time I was asked to save was if I had made a change to the chord of a song. I could even unfreeze tracks and generate and play and even then <Shift>F8 didn't ask me to save first. Except if I had changed a chord, at no time did I get asked to save first, and then it only made this request once. Scrolling forward or backwards did not ever repeat the request. So I could not reproduce the problem you are experiencing. Regards Trevor

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
